GTA 6 boss doesn’t reveal the price – but does make one exciting promise

Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, recently shared an exciting update about GTA 6 in an interview, but he didn’t disclose the game’s price, leaving fans wanting more.

Fans are getting eager for any news about Grand Theft Auto 6, and recently, many have predicted that pre-orders will start soon. However, despite the speculation, pre-orders haven’t become available yet.

There’s also talk that GTA 6 will heavily feature user-created content, potentially even allowing players to earn significant real-world money – some speculate even becoming millionaires. However, as of now, this remains unconfirmed.

Okay, so Strauss Zelnick just did an interview with Variety, and the big news for us gamers is that he finally gave a hint about when we might actually hear something new about the game! It’s not a firm date, but at least we have a rough idea of when to start paying attention for updates.

Strauss Zelnick told Variety that marketing for the game will begin to increase this summer, though they consider summer to start in late June. He joked about the typically unpredictable British weather.

Zelnick said that while it won’t be summer for a few more weeks, Rockstar Games plans to begin marketing GTA 6 when the summer season officially arrives.

While fans are eager for information, the news that some answers will be available in late June is welcome relief from the ongoing speculation and rumors.

Zelnick also gave fans a firm commitment during the conversation: he guaranteed the game won’t be delayed any further.

Honestly, it’s good to hear them confirm again that the game is still launching on November 19th. They’ve been pretty consistent about that date, and it’s reassuring to hear it said again. As a gamer, I’m just excited to finally play it!

I was listening in after Take-Two’s recent earnings call, and they’re predicting a really big year. They’re estimating they’ll bring in between $8 and $8.2 billion in revenue for their next fiscal year – that’s from April 2026 to March 2027, by the way.

When asked if the price would be announced soon after the earnings report, Zelnick simply said, “No.”

He firmly denied the rumour, stating, “We don’t discuss marketing plans during calls with analysts, ever.”

Honestly, no matter how much GTA 6 costs, it’s looking like it’s going to be absolutely massive – possibly the biggest game launch we’ve ever seen. Some people are even saying it could be the biggest entertainment launch, period! As a fan, I’m already getting hyped.

We’re expecting Rockstar to share the third GTA 6 trailer and open pre-orders around late June, and hopefully they’ll start releasing more official details soon after.

We’ll let you know as soon as anything changes. Until then, feel free to test your knowledge with our GTA quiz!
