Guide: NTE Launch Guide: Release Times, Free Pulls, Codes, and More

This week sees the release of NTE: Neverness to Everness, a new open-world RPG for the PlayStation 5, developed by Hotta Studio of Perfect World.

This open-world game, similar to GTA, is surprisingly good, combining a unique anime style with elements of life simulation. It’s quickly becoming a popular choice in the increasingly crowded world of gacha games.

The game is launching soon, so we’ve gathered everything you need to know before it arrives, including release dates, free bonus items, and any available codes. Let’s dive right in!

NTE: What Is It and When Can You Start Playing?

NTE (Neverness to Everness) is a free-to-play open-world game where you collect characters, much like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.

The game’s unique feature is its blend of action-packed combat and life simulation elements similar to GTA Online. You can purchase and customize an apartment, and even have characters visit and hang out with you.

The game will let you work part-time jobs, participate in street races both with other players and against the computer, and experience a story similar to Control, centered around mysterious and dangerous Anomalies.

The game launches globally at 3AM UTC on 29th April.

Just to clarify the time for everyone: that’s 8 PM Pacific Time, 11 PM Eastern Time, or 3 AM British Summer Time on April 29th.

We’ve included a guide for more countries below:

  • North America: 7pm (Tue) PDT / 8pm (Tue) MDT / 9pm (Tue) CDT / 10pm (Tue) EDT
  • UK/Ire: 3am BST
  • Europe: 4am CEST / 5am EEST
  • Asia/Oceania: 11am JST / 10am AWST / 12pm AEST

NTE: Can You Pre-Load on PS5?

You can download NTE on PlayStation 5 before it officially releases, but you’ll need to buy the pre-order pack, which costs $9.99 or £7.99. The download size is 46.5GB.

The pre-order pack includes the following items:

  • Fabricated Dice x5
  • De-noise Solution x10
  • Elite Hunter Guide x10
  • Chaotic Dye x10
  • Manhole Boss x10
  • Beetle Coin x100k

Note that no purchase is necessary to pre-load the game on PC or mobile.

NTE: Is It Pay-to-Win?

NTE is mainly a game for single players, set in an open world, but it also includes some online multiplayer features like street racing.

This game’s gacha system is very player-friendly. You’re guaranteed to get the featured character on each banner after a maximum of 90 tries.

Unlike games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, this game doesn’t have a 50/50 chance system. If you make 90 attempts (pulls) without getting the featured top-tier character, your next attempt is guaranteed to give it to you.

You’ll have much better odds of getting a top-tier character after your 70th pull. This means you might get the character you want a little sooner than the guaranteed pull!

You’ll get new weapons by participating in the Arc Research Program, which uses a special currency called Tri-Keys.

Each pull costs 10 Tri-Key, and you’re guaranteed to get a weapon of A-Rank quality every time. You’ll receive an S-Rank weapon roughly every six pulls, and a promoted weapon is guaranteed within eight pulls.

In short, you’ll need 80 Tri-Key items to be certain you get the signature weapon for the character you want.

NTE: Are There Any Free Characters?

Just by playing New Type Evolution, you’ll receive three free characters. Plus, if you use the Standard Board 50 times, you’ll get an additional S-Rank character!

Here’s a breakdown of all the free characters and how to get them:

Haniel
Free in your in-game mailbox as part of the Pre-Reg Rewards
Auriela
Unlocked by logging in for three days
Chiz
Unlocked by progressing your City Tycoon rank

New players get a 20% discount on their first five 10-Rolls when using the Standard Banner. This makes getting your first S-Rank character faster – it only takes 40 pulls! Plus, you can choose the specific character you want, so you don’t have to try again with a random roll.

The characters promoted on the Standard Board are:

  • Sakiri
  • Baicang
  • Hathor
  • Fadia
  • Daffodill
  • Jiuyuan

Based on the rewards listed on this page, you can earn enough free Fabricated Dice to guarantee an S-Rank character on the Standard Board.

NTE: What Are the Redemption Codes?

Hey everyone, during their livestream, NTE dropped three redemption codes! You can use them right away to get some free stuff in the game when it launches. Pretty cool, right?

To use these codes, start the game and go to the Menu, then find and select Redeem Code. You’ll need to enter the codes before May 13th.

NTE: What Was Announced in the Launch Livestream?

NTE’s livestream shared a lot of details about the game and how it will launch. Here are some of the most important takeaways.

Music Collaboration

NTE is introducing a portable music player to the game. You’ll be able to make custom playlists and listen to music as you explore the open world and drive around.

Collaborators confirmed include:

  • Persona 5 Royal
  • Persona 5: The Phantom X
  • Tower of Fantasy

With more to follow!

Porsche Collaboration

I’m super excited to share that a Porsche is coming to the game in a future update! They’re even planning a whole event around it, which is awesome. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of one of these iconic cars!

You can drive a Porsche in the game’s open world, and a dealership seems to be coming soon. It’s not yet known how long the Porsches will be available for players to purchase or use.
