Wow, it feels like forever ago – about a year and a half – when they first told us about the new Alien: Isolation! And now, totally out of the blue, we’re finally getting our first glimpse of it! I’m so excited!
The new trailer is very short – just 25 seconds – and shows a few quick things like lights, a sliding door, and a phone booth. Still, it’s good to be reminded that the game is still being made.
In October 2024, Creative Assembly, a UK-based game developer, announced they had begun working on a sequel to the popular, but older, survival horror game originally released on PlayStation 4.
Originally released in 2014, Alien: Isolation is celebrated as one of the best survival horror games ever made, thanks to its incredibly smart artificial intelligence and gripping, suspenseful sci-fi setting.
The latest trailer, titled ‘False Sense of Security,’ is described as capturing “a feeling of being safer than one really is.” That’s all the information currently available.
Interestingly, today is April 26th, and the trailer was probably released to honor LV-426, the name of the moon Acheron featured in many Alien stories.
Hopefully this is the beginning of the game’s hype cycle, as we’re already itching to see more.
