It’s a pleasant surprise to find that Hogwarts Legacy is currently available to download and keep completely free! What’s even more surprising is that there wasn’t any official announcement about this giveaway. But hey, we’re not complaining – free is always good!
As a huge Harry Potter fan, I’m so excited to hear that Avalanche Studios, Portkey Games, and Warner Bros. are already working on the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy! From what I’ve read, it sounds like the new game will be set in a more recent time period, maybe even connecting to the amazing HBO show. But we’ll have to wait a while for that. If you haven’t played the first Hogwarts Legacy yet, now looks like the perfect time to jump in – there’s a great deal going on right now!
As of today, Hogwarts Legacy is surprisingly available for free on the Epic Games Store. This is unexpected because it wasn’t part of the usual weekly free game lineup, which this week includes Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure and Firestone – Idle Clicker Online RPG. Also, neither the game’s official social media accounts have announced this offer.
Just to confirm, this offer is genuine – I’m currently looking at it! You can get Hogwarts Legacy for free until May 3rd.
So, some of you might’ve already snagged Hogwarts Legacy when it was free on the Epic Games Store last December before The Game Awards. But if you somehow missed out, awesome news – it’s free again! Just keep in mind this deal is for PC players only. If you’re on PlayStation, you can grab it with PlayStation Plus Extra if you want to play on console.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action role-playing game set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. The game lets you explore both well-known and brand-new locations, discover magical creatures, create your own character, brew potions, learn spells, and develop your skills to become a powerful wizard.
Considering how popular Hogwarts Legacy was when it came out in 2023, it’s hard to believe there are many people who still want to play it and haven’t already. But if you’re a Harry Potter fan who somehow hasn’t gotten around to playing Hogwarts Legacy after three years, this free offer is perfect for you.
