Oh my gosh, they’re nesting! It’s happening! I’m so excited for them – they’re getting the house ready for their little girl, who’s arriving any day now thanks to their amazing surrogate! I’ve been following their journey and I just can’t wait to see them become parents!
In an exclusive interview with TopMob News at the 2026 Tony Awards, Scott announced, “Everything is ready!” He and Mark also shared that they’ve added some personal and meaningful touches to the nursery that they’re eager to reveal.
As the birth date approaches, Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying and his husband, Mark, who got married in 2026, shared that they are “so excited.”
Scott shared that becoming a father was a lifelong dream for both him and his partner, and he’s excited to introduce their daughter to the world of musical theatre. He looks forward to teaching her dance, especially the style of Bob Fosse, and seeing her develop her own talent.
Mark was thrilled that their daughter would one day look back on their experience at the Tony Awards, where they were nominated for Best Musical as producers of Titanique.
Mark pointed out how wonderful it was that their daughter got to see both of her dads at the Tony Awards, and Scott agreed, calling it “really, really special” and “so cool.”
But Scott, 34, and Mark, 35, aren’t going to force their little one to follow in their footsteps.
Scott joked that his daughter is really passionate about sports and has no interest in theater. He added that they would love her no matter what, but she absolutely has to be a fan of Ariana Grande.
Scott and Mark were incredibly excited to announce they were becoming fathers on last season’s Dancing With the Stars. Regardless of what their daughter ends up loving to do, they were thrilled to share their journey to fatherhood in such a special way.
Scott explained that growing up, there weren’t many LGBTQ+ couples represented in TV and movies. He was thrilled the show allowed him to share his relationship and hoped it would inspire other queer young people.
