The League Two Play-off Final is just around the corner! Soon, one team will earn promotion to League One and celebrate a huge victory – but which team will it be?
AFC Wimbledon won a thrilling match against Walsall last year, earning them a promotion to League One. They joined other top teams – Doncaster, Port Vale, and Bradford City – in the higher division.
Bromley, Milton Keynes Dons, and Cambridge United finished the 2025/6 League Two season in the top three. They’ll be joined by one more team after May 25th.
The four remaining teams will compete in the semi-finals, and then the winners will head to Wembley Stadium, where the championship could be decided in an instant.

In League Two, the top three teams are automatically promoted to League One. Teams finishing fourth through seventh place then compete in a playoff tournament to determine the final team that gets promoted.

When is the League Two Play-off Final 2026?

The League Two season will finish in late May, coinciding with a thrilling weekend of football that also includes the League One play-offs and the last matches of the Premier League season. Here’s when it all happens:
- 25th May 2026 – Wembley Stadium
Kick off will be at 3pm.
Where is the League Two Play-off Final 2026?
The showdown between the final two teams will take place at the ‘home of football’, Wembley Stadium.
If you haven’t been to the venue before, you can reach it using one of three train stations: Wembley Park, Wembley Stadium, or Wembley Central.

And Wembley Central offers connections on the Bakerloo and Overground tube lines, plus Southern and West Midlands trains.
How to get tickets to the League Two Play-off Final 2026
Similar to other championship finals, the majority of tickets will be allocated to the two teams playing, and they will determine how those tickets are distributed to their fans.
Season ticket holders and long-time fans will generally have priority over newer supporters.
Tickets often sell out fast, so if you can’t get them directly, you might need to explore options like hospitality packages or resale websites. We suggest checking out P1 Travel as a good place to start.
How much do League Two Play-off Final tickets cost?
Ticket prices last year were generally between £27 and £65, depending on the seat location, and we anticipate similar prices this year.
As mentioned before, tickets purchased through resale platforms or hospitality packages are significantly more expensive. Currently, P1Travel offers tickets starting at €399 per person, while the lowest price at Seat Unique is £499.
Let me tell you, if you’re desperate to snag tickets to a super popular event, hospitality packages are definitely worth considering, even though they cost more. I mean, yes, you pay a premium, but you’re not just getting a seat – you’re getting the seats, usually with amazing views, plus perks like food and drinks included. It really elevates the whole experience.
