NIS America is bringing both Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure to PlayStation 5 this fall.
You’ll be able to buy them separately or as a bundle, but no pricing has been revealed yet.
Both Falcom RPGs can now be played on the PlayStation 4, and these versions have been improved technically. On the PS4, players can experience them with 4K resolution and smooth frame rates up to 120 per second.
It’s currently unclear if players who already own these games on PlayStation 4 will receive free upgrades to the PS5 version. The publisher didn’t offer upgrades for the PS5 releases of previous games in the series, so it’s likely the same will be true this time.
Many fans consider Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure to be among the best games in the entire Trails series.
The game Zero primarily focuses on introducing a new storyline and memorable characters. Then, Azure picks up the pace and delivers one of the most exciting and well-timed adventures the series has to offer.
Of course, these two golden oldies won’t be the only Trails games dropping in 2026.
The remake of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, rebuilt in full 3D, is still scheduled to release on September 17th. Plus, the developers at Falcom are thinking about potentially remaking the games Zero and Azure in the future.
