Gabriela Gonzalez is facing serious legal trouble.
Gabbie, a social media influencer with over 400,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram, was arrested on May 18th in Los Angeles. According to records obtained by TopMob News, she’s being held without bail and accused of attempting to hire someone to kill her former partner, musician Jack Avery.
According to court records obtained by TopMob News, the 24-year-old woman faces charges of conspiracy, attempted premeditated murder, and soliciting someone to commit murder. She was expected in court on May 19th, but it’s unclear how she has pleaded.
According to People magazine, citing official records, the woman’s father, Francisco Javier Gonzalez, was arrested in Seminole County, Florida the same day. He was wanted on a warrant from California and faces serious charges, including conspiracy and solicitation of murder.
According to court documents, the alleged scheme stemmed from a custody dispute between Gabbie and Jack over their 7-year-old daughter. Investigators claim Francisco became heavily involved in the conflict and tried to harm Jack’s relationship with his daughter by discrediting him, monitoring his actions, and attempting to remove him from her life.
According to the sworn statement, a witness reported that Francisco once suggested it would be more affordable if Jack were to die.

The documents accuse Francisco, 59, of arranging surveillance of Jack’s life in Hawaii. He allegedly hired a private investigator to collect evidence that could be used against Jack in court. The claims also state Francisco wanted Jack arrested if he tried to visit his daughter with Gabbie.
In March 2021, Francisco reportedly told his family that it wasn’t premature to reach out to someone Gabbie had previously contacted about threatening her former boyfriend. Investigators were told that Gabbie had often said she wanted her ex-boyfriend, Jack, harmed, and had even talked about hiring someone to kill him.
According to the sworn statement, Gabbie planned to work with Kai Cordrey, and they discussed using the dark web and Bitcoin to hire someone to commit murder. The plan reportedly involved making Jack’s death appear as a car accident.

Investigators say Francisco provided most of the money for the suspected plan. They claim he sent Kai $10,000 in April 2021 using Square, plus two payments of $5,000 each through a Gemini cryptocurrency account. He also reportedly sent a $4,000 payment through the website Site Whisperer.
Kai reportedly told investigators that he and Francisco communicated using Signal messaging and phone calls. The documents also claim Francisco once spoke directly with a federal agent who was working undercover and pretending to be a hitman.
According to documents obtained by TopMob News, Kai faces the same charges as Gabbie: conspiracy, attempted premeditated murder, and asking someone to commit murder. Kai has not yet responded to the charges.
TopMob News has contacted both the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office and Florida law enforcement for statements. We’ve also been trying to find legal counsel for Gabbie, Kai, and Francisco.
Meanwhile, in September, Jack revealed the FBI had warned him someone had been trying to kill him.
Jack shared on the Zach Sang Show that people close to the situation believed he wasn’t at fault and might even be a target himself. This led to the discovery that someone had been hired to try and kill him.
Although he couldn’t share many details, like the identity of the person who tried to kill him, Jack did offer some thoughts on why someone might want him dead.
As he put it, “To get stress out of their life.”
