Starting in 2010, the Insidious franchise has released five movies, the latest being ‘The Red Door’ in 2023, which earned $189 million. Now, a sixth film is on the way – titled ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ – and the trailer has just been released.
In the new horror film, Insidious: The Red Door, Amelia Eve plays Gemma, a mother raising her daughter in her childhood home. Gemma soon discovers she has the ability to enter The Further—the ghostly realm featured in the Insidious movies. But she doesn’t just visit this world; she can bring things back with her. This power attracts dangerous demons who quickly turn our world into a terrifying hunting ground.
The newest installment features a fresh cast, including Amelia Eve and Brandon Perea, and welcomes back Lin Shaye, a fan favorite from previous films. This time, however, the film was co-written by director Jacob Chase and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, replacing Leigh Whannell. James Wan and Jason Blum remain on board as producers.
Insidious Out of the Further is only in cinemas on 21st August 2026
