Irina Shayk Turns Heads in World’s Tiniest Bra at Met Gala 2026

Irina Shayk‘s outfit at the 2026 Met Gala gave off Dalí vibes, but she was definitely also prepared to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show if needed.

The Russian supermodel made a striking entrance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4th, wearing a very small, jeweled halter top by Alexander Wang. She paired it with a long black skirt that dramatically flowed around her feet, revealing a hint of her hip. Her accessories were equally unique, featuring tight-fitting metallic jewelry, including what appeared to be watches used as a choker and arm cuff, and a clasp on her bra that resembled a watch.

The designer envisioned the outfits as a ‘wearable archive’ inspired by Surrealism, transforming everyday objects into fashion. The looks perfectly matched the gala’s themes: ‘Costume Art’ and the ‘Fashion Is Art’ dress code. (You can see more examples of these artistic outfits from the 2026 Met Gala.)

Instead of traditional bra straps and closures, the design used chains and clasps. Watches served as both fasteners and eye-catching details, holding the garment together. Metal and diamond nipple shields were also included for added security.

To top it all off, the couture look took more than 200 hours of hand-craftsmanship to create.

Designer Alexander Wang explained to Entertainment Tonight that he was inspired by the star’s energy when creating her daring outfit. He said she looks incredible, so he wanted to showcase her with luxurious jewelry and emphasize the body. For Wang, fashion is a form of art.

Shayk looked radiant, thanks to RéVive Skincare’s Renewal line, including the Renewal Rescue Elixir and Renewal Cream. Her new dog, Pucci, also brought a smile to her face – she called him her “emotional support” and newest family member. While Pucci didn’t join her on the red carpet, she held him close while getting ready at The Mark Hotel, a popular gathering spot for event attendees.

“His first Met Gala,” she quipped, “but he’s not doing red carpet, only Mama does.”

Shayk has attended the Met Gala many times, and at 40, she’s accustomed to letting designers create her entire look.
