Iris Odyssey: Hephaistos’s Ring launches May 29

The fantasy visual novel Iris Odyssey: Hephaistos’s Ring, set in modern-day Shibuya, will be released on Steam for PC on May 29th, according to developer Eisnid. The game will be available in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

■ Story

Fuka, a young orphan in Shibuya, is desperately looking for her brother, Mitsuba, who has disappeared. As she searches, she discovers she has magical abilities. At the same time, Iris, an experienced investigator of magical crimes, is tracking a dangerous group of outlaw sorcerers called the Skyseekers. Her investigation brings her to Fuka and Mitsuba, as she suspects they may be linked to the Skyseekers.

I’m so excited about Iris Odyssey: Hephaistos’s Ring! It’s a really cool modern fantasy story, and I’m already hooked on Fuka and Iris. They’ve become super close, almost like sisters, and I’m dying to know if their bond will be strong enough to help them uncover this big conspiracy that’s brewing. It’s full of destiny, magic, and a lot of mystery – you absolutely have to check out the first chapter!

Iris (voiced by Konomi Kohara)

Some principles are so important, they’re worth sacrificing everything for – even your own life. I’m determined to demonstrate this, no matter the cost to myself.

She’s a skilled magic investigator driven by a powerful sense of justice and duty. While on a case, she encounters Fuka, and their connection quickly deepens into something like family. As a talented magic user, she takes Fuka under her wing and guides her development.

Fuka Nishizono (voiced by Konomi Inagakai)

“I don’t want anyone to pity me just because I’m an orphan.”

A young girl starting middle school is searching for her missing brother. They grew up together at the Mule House orphanage, but she later went to live with a woman named Iris.

Sakuya Kasasa (voiced by Miyari Nemoto)

“How can I be so stupid? I could just fight.”

She’s a college student and a friend of Iris. Though she enjoys a drink, she’s a thoughtful person who’s surprisingly capable of handling difficult situations. She often uses this skill to assist Iris with her tasks, but she seems uneasy about Fuka joining their circle.

Mitsuba (voiced by Ayaka Okamoto)

“I’m planning my life in my own way, for myself. That’s all.”

Fuka’s brother vanished three years ago, and while the police have stopped searching, Fuka refuses to give up hope. He’s central to the dangerous schemes Iris is trying to uncover.
