Jason Sudeikis had a colossally fun night out with his family.
Jason Sudeikis, known for his role in Ted Lasso, brought his children, 12-year-old Otis and 9-year-old Daisy, to a WNBA game in Los Angeles on May 13. His ex-partner is Olivia Wilde.
The three of them had a great time watching the Indiana Fever beat the Los Angeles Sparks 87-78 from seats right next to the court. The win was thanks to Caitlin Clark, who led the Fever to their first victory of the season.
Jason dressed for the occasion in a blue and green hoodie, a blue A’s baseball cap, and beige khakis. Otis wore a pink plaid shirt with jeans, and Daisy chose a lavender T-shirt and gray sweatpants.
The former Saturday Night Live cast member loves bringing his kids to sporting events. He recently took his oldest child to a Los Angeles Lakers game in March and even traveled to London in December to attend the Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
For Jason Sudeikis, who is 50, being a father is more than just a personal experience. It actually inspired the creation of his beloved character, Ted Lasso, in the Apple TV+ show of the same name.
He explained to Entertainment Tonight in March 2023 that he wouldn’t have been able to convincingly play a parent before becoming one himself. He felt he wasn’t skilled enough as an actor to portray those emotions without genuinely experiencing the love that comes with having children.
Honestly, a big part of making things work so smoothly is my relationship with my ex, Olivia. We were together for nearly a decade, from 2011 to 2020, and now we prioritize co-parenting as friends. It’s really rewarding to see! We recently ran into each other in L.A. and it was genuinely lovely – we even shared a hug. It just shows you can maintain a positive connection even after a relationship ends, especially when kids are involved.

But that’s not to say their dynamic was always a slam dunk.
Olivia, 42, told Vanity Fair in September 2022 that she and Jason had a difficult relationship and ultimately broke up around the start of the pandemic. They continued to raise their two children together while following lockdown restrictions, focusing on co-parenting.
She explained that once they realized living together was hurting the kids, they decided it was best to separate. They believed they could co-parent more effectively from different homes.

“It’s good to be Otis,” Olivia said, adding that they adore Quest Love.

The director joked in April 2020, “I have never seen anyone cheat so badly.”

Daisy clearly inherited the performing gene from her parents.

To celebrate National Sibling Day in 2020, the director of Don’t Worry Darling shared this photo with the caption, “It’s important to have an accomplice.”

Olivia brought her kids to participate in the 2023 writers’ strike, and shared a sentiment online: making core memories while realizing how greedy corporations like Netflix can be.

“Little big foot,” she captioned this shot in October 2020.

Some mischief was had in March 2019.

In a video posted in April 2019, a brother and sister who both skate were seen playing together. The poster jokingly said she’d hang out with them as long as she brought snacks, and wished them a Happy National Siblings Day.

The actress teased, “She looks like she just realized she crawled in bed with the wrong woman.”

For National Daughter Day in 2020, Olivia lovingly described Daisy as more than just a hero – she called her ‘my superhero times infinity plus a million!’

“It’s been a Frozen summer,” Olivia simply wrote in July 2019.

The pair were all smiles for a sweet day out.

The Booksmart director shared, “My favorite nap lap.”

Olivia shared a photo from a London museum with a playful caption: “My people. (Just wondering: how many washes can an Elsa dress withstand before it unleashes her powers, causes an ice age, or falls apart?).”

In September 2020, Olivia jokingly pointed out that everyone seemed to be focused on everything else, but no one was considering how the stuffed animals were coping.

Olivia shared a photo of dress-up in a garden.
