Netflix just dropped the first trailer for its new romantic comedy, ‘Office Romance.’ The film features Jennifer Lopez and is co-written by and stars Brett Goldstein, known for his role in ‘Ted Lasso’.
Netflix describes the upcoming film as a funny and steamy romantic comedy about a hidden workplace relationship and the complications that arise when two dedicated employees fall for each other. It will be available to stream on June 5th.
The show will also star Betty Gilpin from GLOW and Edward James Olmos, who will play the father of George Lopez’s character. Interestingly, Olmos played Selena Quintanilla’s father in the 1997 film Selena, almost three decades ago.

Jodie Whittaker, who famously played Doctor Who, is joining a talented group of actors in the film. She’ll be appearing alongside Bradley Whitford from The West Wing, Tony Hale of Arrested Development, and comedian Amy Sedaris, among others.
The trailer reveals Jennifer Lopez plays a powerful and intimidating boss. Her new lawyer, played by Goldstein, is warned by coworkers about her fearsome reputation when he starts at the airline.
They quickly hit it off and began a passionate romance, but were determined to keep it secret from their colleagues. Jennifer Lopez worried that if anyone found out, it could ruin her career.
I also spotted Whittaker for a quick second at the end of the trailer – it looks like she’s playing the sister of Goldstein’s character, and she’s in prison!

Earlier this month, director Goldstein said he still feels surprised to be working on a romantic comedy with Jennifer Lopez and such a talented cast, half-expecting someone to reveal it’s all a joke.
He added: “[It] hasn’t happened yet, so maybe this is real?”
Brett Goldstein is famous for playing Roy Kent on the show Ted Lasso, where he was also a writer. He’s also the co-creator and a cast member, alongside Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, on the Apple TV+ series Shrinking.
He co-wrote and starred in the science fiction romance film, All of You, with Imogen Poots.
Office Romance will be released on Netflix on Friday 5 June.
