As Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 nears its conclusion, the series is finally giving Megumi Fushiguro a central role after nine episodes. This episode highlights why he’s considered the best supporting character. From the start, Megumi has been a cool, smart, and reliable ally to Yuji Itadori. However, Season 2 slightly damaged his image when he unnecessarily summoned the powerful Mahoraga against a weaker opponent, despite the resulting battle being incredibly exciting.
Fans previously observed instances where Megumi unnecessarily tried to summon Mahoraga, which damaged his standing as a supporting character. However, the current season is working to change that perception, demonstrating his true magical abilities. After Megumi and Yuji are separated upon entering the Culling Game, Megumi faces his own difficult challenges. This time, he’s much more thoughtful and strategic, aiming to alter the rules of the game and save his sister by collecting points. This requires intelligence and determination, and the latest episode clearly shows him stepping up, ultimately reshaping how viewers see his character.
Megumi Fushiguro Redeems Himself in the Latest Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode

In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 10, “Tokyo Colony No. 1, Part 4,” Megumi Fushiguro is cornered by Reggie Star and his team. Shortly after Yuji Itadori changes a rule in the Culling Game, Megumi aggressively tries to earn more points, even killing an opponent without hesitation to do so. This scene emphasizes the contrast between the two characters: Yuji is willing to accept punishment for Sukuna’s actions, while Megumi shows no remorse for taking a life.
This episode showcases Megumi’s skills as he skillfully uses his shikigami against several opponents. When Fumihiko joins the fight, Megumi is left to battle Reggie, who quickly gains the upper hand. Just when things look dire, Megumi cleverly uses his surroundings to activate his domain, trapping Reggie and revealing the full extent of his power. This episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 definitively proves that Megumi is a remarkably strong sorcerer – often underestimated by fans – and solidifies his position as one of the series’ best and most engaging supporting characters.
