Katharine McPhee Reacts to Chrishell Stause Calling Her Out on TikTok

Katharine McPheeis so over it.

Katharine, age 42, openly addressed the critical comments Chrishell Stause made about her past relationships. When someone asked TopMob News on Instagram what Katharine had said to initiate the disagreement, she admitted she wasn’t even sure what started it.

She admitted she was just as confused about the situation as everyone else, writing, “Honestly, I have no idea! lmao” with a heart emoji.

The drama started when the Selling Sunset star, 44, commented on a TikTok video detailing the Smash actress’s past relationships, starting with her first marriage to Nick Cokas (which ended in 2016) and continuing to her current marriage with David Foster.

The video discussed the age differences in Katharine’s relationships, specifically highlighting the 35-year gap between her, who is 42, and her partner David.

The person who shared the information also highlighted a concerning interaction between the couple. A video from when they first met, resurfaced in 2024, showed the composer calling his wife “fat,” and this moment caused a lot of discussion.

Chrishell responded to a TikTok posted on May 14th, saying she believes a certain person will only truly gain self-confidence after repeatedly being let down by the men she chooses to support.

She continued, “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.”

Katharine doesn’t seem to mind the attention on her relationship with David, even with people commenting on their age difference. They are parents to a 5-year-old son named Rennie.

The singer of “Over It” shared with People magazine in 2024 that she and David both handled turning a new decade with grace. She happily embraced her 40s, and he didn’t dwell on turning 75, nor did she lament reaching 40 or feel like she was losing something by getting older.

They both have a similar outlook on getting older. As she explained, they simply embrace life and see aging as a positive process, believing things actually improve with time.

Even though Katharine said she wasn’t aware of any issues with Chrishell, keep reading to discover other celebrities who haven’t been afraid of public disagreements.

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is shown second from the left in the picture.)

He told Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay despite a personal issue they’ve been dealing with. He emphasized that the situation is between the two of them and isn’t related to their work on the show, and clarified that it wasn’t a romantic issue—something that had been building up over time.

In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.

Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t influence their hiring by having anyone else removed from consideration, as I shared on Instagram.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that she considered Topher Grace, from “That ’70s Show,” to be the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a “rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed annoyed when he was a guest on The Talk in 2014, after she mistakenly said his name wrong.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She essentially warned him, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris clashed with Brittany Aldean, the wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, posted on August 23rd, Brittany thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed her current feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Cameron Bure apologized publicly, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and was truly sorry for not taking the picture.

Okay, so thankfully, Candace and I patched things up! But then… then she was asked about same-sex couples leading holiday movies on Great American Family, where she’s in charge of everything creative. And she said no. Just… no. She actually said they’re going to stick to ‘traditional marriage’ as the main thing. I mean, I love her, but that just… broke my heart. It’s like she doesn’t understand what makes the holidays special is love, and love comes in all forms! I just… I can’t believe she said that.

As someone who champions inclusivity, I was really disappointed to see the recent comment made by the actress. JoJo, who bravely shared their identity as part of the LGBTQ+ community back in 2021, rightfully called it out as rude and deeply hurtful – not just to them, but to an entire community. It’s a reminder that words matter, and we all need to be mindful of the impact they have.

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without proper credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome! My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

While on Watch What Happens Live, the actor from Happy Days explained why he and the star of Forrest Gump didn’t get along while filming Turner & Hooch in 1989.

I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to pack up and go home, saying I had everything I needed.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Those who watched The Hills likely remember a famous line from Lauren during the third season’s first episode. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt. It escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor that she had made a sex tape with her boyfriend at the time, Jason Wahler.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out in 2017, starting with an Instagram post where Tyrese criticized Dwayne after the release of Fast and Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne and Jason Statham was announced, set to release in 2019. A month later, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne was still involved.

Tyrese then opened up about the feud, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast, “I have yet to talk to The Rock to this day, and we will have a conversation.” He shared that he did have a chat with the former wrestler’s producing partner, but not the actor himself.

Tyrese admitted he often ended up speaking for others involved with the franchise, but he regretted being the only one to publicly share those opinions. He acknowledged it was his mistake, saying it wasn’t professional or appropriate.

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were famously feuding for years, and many believed Taylor’s song “Bad Blood” was about their conflict. The disagreement, which supposedly began because of a shared backup dancer and rivalry during concert tours, ended when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.

Taylor shared a video on Instagram explaining that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room and said it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.

During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.

She said she was just devastated, explaining that they had talked about it all week. She was really bothered because her memory of what happened was completely different.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what really connected us was sharing that unique experience. It started as a professional collaboration, but over the years it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that those years of working on something special, and the connection people felt with it, will outweigh any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously said that her being called the best live act was ridiculous, questioning how lip-syncing could be considered a live performance, and even suggested performers who lip-sync should face serious consequences, given the cost of concert tickets.

The actress, formerly known for her role on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to be removed from Emmy Award consideration. She explained her decision by saying she didn’t believe she had been given storylines that deserved a nomination.

Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone consistently demonstrates their true character, you should believe them,” Shonda explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s been a valuable lesson for me.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what started the conflict with Nicki.

Cardi B recently told W magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.

The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had seemingly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting. Nicki has stated she didn’t actually interact with the tweet.

Cardi B explained she turned down a potentially hugely profitable Bruno Mars tour because she wanted to be with her daughter. She emphasized how much she loves her daughter and considers herself a great mom. She was upset that someone without children would criticize her for enjoying a moment with another artist, adding that opportunities like that don’t come around often – you can’t just run into famous people at the store or on the street.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included lyrics referencing Taylor.

Just before the Grammy Awards in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for the action, and Taylor Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”

The rumored rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez began in 2003 during a German TV interview. When asked about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah responded simply, “I don’t know her.”
