Last One Laughing favourite’s new comedy series gets release date confirmed with first-look trailer

Channel 4 released a preview of ‘Make That Movie,’ the new comedy series from ‘Last One Laughing UK’ star Sam Campbell, and announced the show’s upcoming release date.

A new six-part series about a successful director, Campbell, who travels the country searching for people with great movie ideas, will premiere on Channel 4 on Thursday, May 28th.

The latest trailer shows Sam and his team scrambling to make a movie in just three days, and the process is full of funny mishaps.

Joining Campbell in the film are Lara Ricote, known for her work in “Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping,” playing the role of runner Jess, and Aaron Chen, from “Fisk,” as intimacy coordinator Sebastian.

Helen Bauer, known for her role in ‘Am I Being Unreasonable?’, plays the sound engineer Pat, and David Hargreaves, from ‘This Country’, is the cinematographer Winnie.

Campbell gained recognition in the UK when he won the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe comedy award in 2022.

I’ve been following this Aussie comedian for a while now, and he’s really been popping up everywhere! He’s a regular on all the best panel shows – I’ve seen him on Taskmaster, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie to You?, QI, and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year. Just recently, he was amazing on Last One Laughing UK – he almost won the whole thing, finishing as runner-up!
