It looks like LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is on track to release as planned. TT Games recently announced the game has finished development – or ‘gone gold’ – but players should likely expect a small update on launch day to fix any remaining bugs.
Drawing from decades of Batman stories – from comics to films and TV – Legacy of the Dark Knight reimagines the hero’s beginnings. Players will experience Bruce Wayne’s training with the League of Assassins and his transformation into Gotham’s protector. The game will feature team-ups with iconic allies like Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, and Commissioner Gordon as they battle classic villains such as Bane and the Joker.
If you purchase the Deluxe Edition, you’ll get an extra story mission where you can play as The Joker and Harley Quinn while they break out of Arkham Asylum. They’ll also be playable characters in Mayhem Mode, letting you cause chaos throughout Gotham City. Both of these additions will be available in September 2026.
When the game launches, players can choose from three content packs: the Arkham Trilogy Pack, the Batman Beyond Pack, and the Party Music Pack. A Sinister Pack with new suits will also be available.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches on May 22nd for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. A version for the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released sometime after that.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is officially finished and ready for release! It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 22nd, 2026.
