Following the successful launch of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, there’s talk that the game might get downloadable content (DLC) featuring Task Force X. A source called XOLEAK suggests this DLC will add allies for the Joker and Harley Quinn, bringing in characters well-known from DC Comics and films.
A recent rumor suggests the upcoming DLC, possibly called “Mayhem,” will include characters like Bronze Tiger, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Javelin, Katana, Killer Croc, King Shark, Lester (potentially The Electrocutioner), Mongal, Polka Dot Man, Rick Flag, A.R.G.U.S., and various police officers. This would bring a lot of characters from the Suicide Squad movies released over the past ten years, as well as many from the comic books themselves.
I was super hyped for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight when it came out on May 22nd, and it seemed like a lot of other people were too – it had over a million wishlists on Steam! Everyone was talking about how good it looked from the early previews, and I have to say, they weren’t wrong. We gave it a 9 out of 10 in our review because it’s just a blast to play. The story is really fun and nods to so many different Batman stories I love, and the stealth and fighting are surprisingly well done. Honestly, even though the gameplay is pretty straightforward, it didn’t bother me at all – it just added to the fun!
Although TT Games led the development of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the game was a collaborative effort. The credits reveal contributions from experienced developers who previously worked on titles like Batman: Arkham Origins, Gotham Knight, and even the original Batman: Arkham series created by Rocksteady Studios.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight reimagines the superhero in classic LEGO style. Unlike previous LEGO games with straightforward levels, this game offers a vast open world to explore. The story spans different periods of Batman’s life, beginning with a young Bruce Wayne learning from the League of Shadows. As players progress, they’ll team up with allies like Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl, and face off against iconic villains such as The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane, and The Joker, and many more.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight offers a revamped combat system focused on fast-paced combos and sneaky stealth moves to help you navigate the challenges of Gotham City. You’ll be able to get around in a variety of ways – using a grappling hook, gliding, or driving vehicles. Explore famous locations from Batman’s past, like Ace Chemicals, Wayne Tower, and Arkham Asylum, in a large open world filled with things to discover and collect.
You can now play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
