Lisa Kudrow keeps smilin’ over this hilarious fan interaction.
The actress from Friends had a really strange experience when someone mistook her for singer Dionne Warwick. It really happened!
Kudrow remembered an experience during the time she was on Friends. She was at Jerry’s Deli, and the hostess recognized her and said she’d show her to her table. Kudrow thought to herself that the hostess must have watched Friends, which she found amusing, during a conversation with Keke Palmer, Quinta Brunson, Rachel Sennott, and other comedians for The Hollywood Reporter.
It turned out the host actually preferred Dionne Warwick’s 1985 hit, “That’s What Friends Are For,” rather than the popular TV show Friends, which starred Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
Kudrow explained that a woman approached her table and, with an Eastern European accent, immediately said, ‘I know who you are.’ The woman then mistook her for Dionne Warwick, which Kudrow quickly denied.
At first, the 62-year-old woman was glad the fan hadn’t recognized her, but then she became puzzled.
I remember one time, someone actually asked if I was Dionne Warwick! It was so unexpected. I just explained that she’s an absolute legend, a truly iconic singer, and they were like, ‘Oh, okay!’ Honestly, the whole thing struck me as hilarious – it was just such a funny misunderstanding.
Afterwards, Palmer chimed in with, “Girl if you Dionne Warwick, I’m Stevie Nicks.”
Kudrow isn’t alone in being mistaken for someone else. Emily Blunt once shared a funny story about a six-year-old who tried to work out how they knew each other.

Emily Blunt shared a funny story about a fan encounter. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2012, she recounted how someone stopped her and asked if she played a character on Gilmore Girls. When Blunt said she didn’t, the fan then asked if she was in Bridge to Terabithia. Blunt again replied that she wasn’t, and the fan simply said, ‘Oh.’
Losing momentum, Blunt recalled the young fan ended up just walking away.
Emily Blunt sheepishly recalled a recent encounter where she excitedly mentioned being in The Devil Wears Prada. To her surprise, the person she was talking to hadn’t seen it. Blunt explained, ‘I kind of blurted it out, and even shouted it, actually!’ Apparently, the other person’s father was a little taken aback by Blunt’s enthusiastic outburst, but his daughter simply hadn’t watched the film.
Okay, so people are going wild saying certain people look like celebrities, and honestly, a lot of it is just… a stretch. But I’ve dug deeper, and I’ve found some doppelgangers that actually make me do a double-take! Let me tell you about them…

Bravo fans get extra credit if they can tell The Real Housewives of Rhode Island costars apart.
And, no, they aren’t related. They just go to the same plastic surgeon (and dentist).

Fans are noticing a striking resemblance between the actress from Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Kiernan Shipka, who played Sabrina on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Many think she looks even more like Shipka now than when she originally portrayed a younger version of the character in the Netflix series!
Okay, so Jamie Jirak – honestly, a genius – posted this amazing collage back in 2020. It was all these younger versions of characters Kiernan Shipka has played, like little Sabrina, and it just… hit me. They wrote, ‘I think about this a lot,’ and seriously, SAME! I’ve been thinking about it ever since. It’s just perfect and proves how incredible Kiernan is at playing these roles, even when she’s younger! I can’t stop replaying it in my head.
Grace quote-retweeted with a crying-laughing emoji, “Same.”

During a November 2023 interview on Sirius XM, Jared Leto responded to a comparison to a Kardashian with playful gratitude. He initially said, “Really? Lucky me,” and after a moment, simply added, “Thank you.”
He added that if they were family, he’d have a wealthy relative, saying, “He’s very rich, so yeah, that would be good.”

The actors who starred together in Nocturnal Animals have acknowledged the frequent comparisons between them. Carrie Fisher jokingly revealed in a 2016 interview on NBC’s Today show that she once photoshopped Amy Adams’ face onto her own family’s holiday card.

It was no coincidence the actresses were both cast in Barbie.
I’m a huge fan of Robbie, and I remember when they were talking to BuzzFeed about this! Apparently, people have been telling them for ages that they look just like Emma Mackey, who you probably know from Sex Education. It’s so funny because that’s actually how they ended up playing one of the Barbies in the new movie! Robbie and director Greta Gerwig thought it would be hilarious to lean into the resemblance, and originally planned a whole joke around it.
We dressed up as Barbies, but realized we didn’t actually look alike – my hair is blonde and hers is brown. We ended up cutting that idea from the movie. But when people tell me they enjoyed my work on Sex Education, I always say thank you.

You know, it’s funny, people often tell me I look like Margot Robbie! As an actress myself, I get it – we’re both blonde! But I actually told Us Weekly back in 2022 that it happens all the time, which is definitely something you get used to in this industry.

The Help co-stars look so alike that director Ron Howard mistook Chastain for his own daughter.
Chastain recounted seeing Ron Howard at an Apple Store. She said she was just walking past when she recognized him. Her friend then pointed out that someone had thought they had spotted Bryce Dallas Howard, noting how much the two actresses resemble each other.
Bryce told Entertainment Tonight the story was true, and shared that her dad was very upset by it. She described him as being “really shaken up.”
She recalled him saying, “You two really look alike.” She added that she was very flattered by the comment, which she appreciated.

Neither celeb was upset when a social media user thought Witherspoon was Underwood.
Reese Witherspoon, known for her role in Legally Blonde, shared on Twitter that a woman mistook her for Carrie Underwood in a parking lot, and it totally brightened her day.
The Grammy winner quickly responded, “YOUR day?!?!?!?! That lady just made my whole life!”

I was so thrilled when I saw Jonathan Majors! Mark Ruffalo actually said it best on the Tonight Show back in 2019 – he admitted Majors is just incredibly handsome. Ruffalo was joking, of course, but he genuinely wished he looked like him, and honestly, who wouldn’t? I completely agree!

Harry Potter and Frodo are well aware fans confuse them.
Despite sharing similar physical traits – we’re both short, pale, with blue eyes and brown hair – Daniel Radcliffe says he and the interviewer don’t actually resemble each other. However, he acknowledges that people generally perceive them as looking alike.
In fact, while in Japan, Radcliffe was even asked to autograph a photo of Wood.
He said the easiest solution was to simply write, ‘I am not Elijah Wood, signed Daniel Radcliffe,’ and hope someone would translate it for the person who sent it.

The former Dancing With the Stars pro looks like Wonder Woman herself.

Blake Lively from Gossip Girl and Taylor Swift from Friday Night Lights bear a striking resemblance, which led to them both starring in the 2011 horror movie The Roommate. The film’s plot was similar to that of the thriller Single White Female.

The bearded stars look they may have been separated at birth.

The actresses share a striking resemblance – Valletta could have easily doubled for someone on Orange Is the New Black.

While on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen noted that the Downton Abbey actor looks a lot like the singer from One Direction.

The Twilight star and Hunger Games alum share dark locks and glowing skin.

The Saturday Night Live alum and Oscar-winner could be confused as cousins, at the least.

These two get mistaken for each other all the time. Just ask them.
The comedian explained that while at the White House Correspondents’ dinner, Bill O’Reilly approached him. To politely escape the conversation, the comedian jokingly told O’Reilly he must have mistaken him for Elizabeth Banks.

Whether it’s magic or just coincidence, the Breaking Bad star looks a lot like the Harry Potter actor.

We’d believe it if the singer and Gossip Girl star revealed they were long-lost relatives.

These actors certainly both have a similar sense of style.

People often confuse the actress from New Girl with the singer, and the singer herself has acknowledged the similarity. In her music video for “Not the End of the World,” Zooey Deschanel is jokingly kidnapped by aliens who think she’s a judge on American Idol.

Justice explained to MTV News that people constantly mistake her for Nina Dobrev, the star of The Vampire Diaries. She said, “It happens all the time!”
