Bungie has announced the release date for its upcoming game, Marathon, and also revealed a cast of well-known actors who will be featured in the game.
Originally planned for September 2025, the game Marathon will now launch in 2026. As the release date nears, more information about the game is becoming available.
So, Bungie just dropped the news about when we can finally play, and pre-orders are live! But the coolest part? They also revealed who’s doing the voice acting, and seriously, they got some huge names from the gaming world. I’m super excited to hear what they bring to the characters!
Jennifer English particularly stands out, fresh from winning several awards for her role as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. She’s joined by fellow actors Ben Starr (playing Verso) and Rich Keeble (as Monoco).
English is joined by some of her fellow actors from Baldur’s Gate 3, such as Neil Newbon, who played Astarion, Samantha Béart as Karlach, and Tracy Wiles as Jaheira.
Beyond these voice actors, many other well-known names have lent their talents to popular games. These include Roger Clark, who voiced Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, Morla Gorrondona as Eris Morn in Destiny, Darin De Paul as Reinhardt in Overwatch, Ariana Nicole George as Veronique in Genshin Impact, Fred Tatasciore as Damon Baird in Gears of War, Erin Yvette as Blonde Blazer in Dispatch, and Elias Toufexis as Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
The cast also includes well-known TV actors like Jason Spisak (Silco from Arcane), Keston John (Kino from Arcane), Nika Futterman (Asajj Ventress from Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and Reina Guthrie (Player 254 from Squid Game).
The game also features voice actors Emily O’Brien, known for her work on Starfield; Dave Fennoy from The Walking Dead; Erica Lindbeck, who voiced characters in Persona 5; Scott Whyte of Crash Bandicoot fame; Craig Lee Thomas (Fatal Fury); and Lee Shorten and JB Tadena (Ghost of Yōtei).
The voice cast also includes Krizia Bajos (League of Legends), Oliver Vaquer (BioShock Infinite), Brent Mukai (Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart), Ry Chase (Guild Wars 2), Elliot Knight (Call of Duty), Sohm Kapila (Hogwarts Legacy), Piotr Michael (Dune: Awakening), Beau Bridgland (Wasteland 3), and Donnla Hughes (Fishmonger).
Marathon is a reimagining of the classic 1990s Marathon game series, developed by the creators of Halo and Destiny, Bungie.
