During EVO Japan 2026, ARC System Works and Sony released a new trailer for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The trailer showcased Captain America and Iron Man, and revealed two new playable characters: Black Panther and Hulk. These four heroes together form the game’s “Fighting Avengers” team.
Now, it’s Shuri, T’Challa’s sister, who is the Black Panther and has revealed Wakanda to the world. She’s incredibly agile and fights with both sharp claws and a spear, setting her apart from previous Black Panthers. Plus, she utilizes a powerful, armored panther to quickly overwhelm her enemies.
Hulk is, well, Hulk! He grabs enemies and brutally slams them around – he even told Wolverine to recover from one of his attacks. It looks like this version of Hulk is based on his appearance from World War Hulk, so hopefully the game’s story will explain it better.
Players can choose from three teams – The Fighting Avengers, The Amazing Guardians, and The Unbreakable X-Men – in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The game releases on August 6th for PlayStation 5 and PC with 20 playable characters. Four additional characters will be added after launch as part of the Year One Characters Pass, and more details will be shared soon.
