Fans have been wondering why the Nova Corps wouldn’t help the heroes during the zombie outbreak in Marvel Zombies. Despite the heroes’ best efforts, they couldn’t stop the spread of the virus. As a last resort, they tried contacting the Nova Corps using a transmitter from a SHIELD Quinjet, hoping for assistance. However, they were shocked when the Nova Corps instead ordered them to return, threatening repercussions if they didn’t.
Why the Nova Corps did not help in Marvel Zombies
The Nova Corps knew what was happening with the zombie outbreak and deliberately chose not to help the heroes. They ordered the heroes to return to Earth and threatened to destroy their ship if they refused.
As a huge fan, I remember S.H.I.E.L.D. had been working on this project called Lifeshot – basically a way for our heroes to get in touch with the Nova Corps. The whole time, their big goal was to stop the zombie outbreak, and the Nova Corps were supposed to be their final backup. They finally find this device on the Quinjet, and knowing it’s their only way to reach out, they head into space to try and connect with them. It was a really tense moment!
The heroes believed the Nova Corps might have a way to stop the crisis. However, when they tried to leave Earth, the Nova Corps prevented them. It then became clear that the Nova Corps knew about the outbreak all along and deliberately trapped everyone on the planet. They told the heroes to come back, and when they refused, the Nova Corps destroyed their ship.
The Nova Corps didn’t act with malicious intent; they understood the serious risks of the outbreak spreading. They were aware of other powerful threats that could cause even greater destruction – individuals like the Scarlet Witch, who had defeated heroes and even the Infinity Hulk. Their decision to not intervene was based on a desire to limit the overall damage, not worsen it.
