As viewers anticipate the new season, here’s a peek into the personal lives of the cast of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen began dating while appearing on the show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and had a son, Ever, together in 2024. However, their relationship ended because Dakota was unfaithful.

Taylor shared on the second episode of her Hulu series that things were going wonderfully with Dakota after their daughter Ever was born, and she was even thinking about getting engaged. However, she soon discovered he had been dishonest with her the whole time.

Taylor was accused by a woman named Jenna of having a relationship with Dakota, claiming they had been intimate on multiple occasions. Taylor has publicly denied these claims, stating in a TikTok post in September 2024 that he was faithful.

On the series, Taylor said that Dakota accused Jenna of instigating their affair.

She told the confessional that it was definitely him. He’d admitted to kissing her on the couch, but it went further than that – they had sex on the couch before continuing in another room.

After her breakup with the founder of Basin Tiling, the mother of three (who also has two children with her former husband, Tate Paul) was planning to look for love again on season 22 of The Bachelorette. However, things became complicated in March 2026 when reports surfaced about a possible argument between her and her ex-husband a few weeks prior.

A representative from the Draper City Police Department told People magazine they are investigating a reported domestic assault. According to the police, both people involved have accused each other of wrongdoing.

A video from earlier in 2023 showing a fight between Taylor and Dakota appeared online a few days later. As a result, ABC canceled Taylor’s season of the dating show.

Whitney Leavitt married Connor Leavitt in 2016, and he’s become her ideal life partner. Together, they have three children – Sedona, Liam, and Billy – and have worked through challenges while living their lives publicly.

For instance, the Dancing With the Stars alum had to shut down rumors about her husband’s sexuality.

She jokingly asked if she needed to resort to extreme measures to prove things were okay, saying on the Off the Vine podcast in October 2024, “Trust me, we’re good. Everything’s fine.”

She explained that he had battled a pornography addiction, something I wasn’t aware of personally. She mentioned a scene where a friend observed his confusion regarding sexuality.

Despite facing challenges, the reality star shared that she and her husband, Connor, are more solid as a couple than ever before. They even reaffirmed their commitment by renewing their vows in February 2026, celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary.

Conner shared with Brides that they married young and felt their wedding was as much about celebrating their families as it was about themselves. They wanted to create a day that truly felt personal, and they thought this was a really enjoyable way to do it.

Jen and Zac Affleck, who are married and not related to Ben Affleck despite what people say, have been dealing with breakup rumors since 2019, when their show first aired.

A major storyline in the first season revolved around an argument they had after Jen went to a Chippendales show in Las Vegas. Despite the disagreement, the couple – parents to Nora, Penelope, and Lucas – reconciled, and the Dancing With the Stars contestant later spoke out to support their relationship.

Jen explained to TopMob News in November 2025 that constantly hearing the same rumors was exhausting. She said she’s learned to expect opinions, but feels it’s especially frustrating for the person involved when people don’t understand the hard work and dedication they’re putting in privately.

She and Zac are prioritizing their well-being and focusing on what’s important to them. She mentioned it’s still a challenge for him to ignore outside distractions.

Problems started to surface in Jessi Draper and Jordan Ngatikaura’s five-year marriage after Jessi confessed to an emotional connection with Marciano Brunette from Vanderpump Villa. Despite early hopes for improvement, their relationship hit a rough patch.

Jessi and Jordan are giving their relationship another try. Jessi, who shares two children, Jagger and Jovi, with Jordan, told TopMob News in November 2025 that they’re working through things. She explained that relationships aren’t always easy, and it will take time and effort to rebuild, but they’re committed to the process.

Unfortunately, the couple’s attempt to reconcile didn’t last. Jordan, who also has a daughter named Peyton from a previous relationship, filed for divorce in March 2026, ending their five-year marriage.

A few days later, Jessi expressed surprise and said she hadn’t expected him to file the paperwork so quickly. She believed he did it to be the first to make news.

She said she was heartbroken to learn the news, explaining that she and her husband had planned to tell their children about their separation together, but hadn’t had the chance yet. TopMob contacted Jordan’s lawyers for a statement, but they haven’t responded.

Mayci never thought she’d find love again, especially after the sudden loss of her boyfriend, Arik Mack, in 2015. She was 14 weeks pregnant with their son, Hudson, at the time, and had already accepted the idea of raising him on her own.

But it all changed when she met Jacob in 2016 at age 21, whom she would marry two years later.

In her memoir, Told You So, Mayci explained that she was hesitant to open up after past experiences, but she and Jacob connected quickly. They stayed friends for a while, which made her comfortable with him meeting her son, as they weren’t seriously involved romantically at the time.

Honestly, watching Jacob with him was just… captivating. It really amplified the attraction, if I’m being real. I’d been hesitant, you know? Scared of getting hurt again. But after a few months, I couldn’t ignore what I was feeling. He’s just such a genuinely kind and funny guy, and most importantly, he made me feel completely safe – something I hadn’t felt in a long time.

Mayci and Jacob went on to welcome daughters Harlow in 2021 and Charli in 2025.

Demi Engemann married Bret Engemann in 2021, following her divorce from Blake Corbin the previous year. Their relationship, which unfolded on a reality TV show, gained attention when Whitney gave Demi Fruity Pebbles, leading to discussions about their intimacy.

Jessi revealed in a November 2025 Instagram post the surprising reason behind the joke gift: her grandfather, Bret, drinks her urine, comparing the act to enjoying a soda or water.

Demi and Bret aren’t upset about the past—whether it involves revealed secrets or embarrassing moments. In fact, Demi told Entertainment Tonight in December that they’ve decided to embrace everything that’s happened and just enjoy life together.

Despite some public attention on their relationship, the couple is happily adjusting to life as a blended family. Demi has a daughter named Maude from a previous relationship, and Bret has two sons, Rome and Cole, with Angie Harrington, who is known from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

In June 2024, Demi shared on Instagram how incredibly loving and dedicated her partner is as a father – both to his stepdaughter, Maude, and with hopes for their future children. She expressed constant amazement at his unwavering commitment to his role as a father, even when facing life’s challenges.

Mikayla Matthews and Jace Terry have a long history together. They first met in 2015, when Mikayla was 15, and had their son Beckham two years later. They married in 2018 and have since welcomed three more children: Haven, Tommie, and Lottie.

Mikayla and Jace are enjoying raising their four children, but Mikayla has expressed a desire to have even more kids in the future.

You know, people often ask me about future family plans, and I always say I’ve dreamed of having three or four children. Honestly, though, I could totally see myself with six! I’m really looking forward to hopefully moving into a bigger home soon – I envision a large property where all my kids can run around and have plenty of space.

In the ninth episode of the show’s fourth season, Mikayla revealed that she and Jace were separating temporarily because they were having difficulties with intimacy.

Mikayla’s marriage suffered as she started to deal with the painful memories of sexual abuse she experienced as a teenager, and as her ongoing health condition worsened with increased stress.

She told Jace that talking about sex or intimacy was difficult for her. She explained that she’s already feeling overwhelmed and on edge, like she’s reached her limit and can’t handle much more.

Layla Taylor and Clayton Wessel, parents of Oliver and Maxwell, got divorced in 2023. Layla then hinted at a new relationship with Mason McWhorter in July 2025.

Their relationship looked confusing when you laid it all out. Here’s the deal: Mason’s brother, Chase McWhorter, was previously married to Miranda McWhorter, who works with Layla. Despite this complicated connection, Mason and Layla were determined to make their relationship work.

Layla shared with Us in November 2025 that she’s currently hesitant about marriage, but prioritizes building a deep connection with anyone she dates before thinking about it. She expressed happiness with her relationship with Mason, adding that they would address the possibility of marriage if it ever arose.

Unfortunately, the mom of two confirmed that she and Mason had split in February 2026.

Layla explained that she and her partner were simply growing in different directions. He felt he needed to be independent to reach his full potential, and she respects that. She wishes him all the best in pursuing his goals.

Miranda joined the show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in its second season and quickly became central to the widely discussed “soft swinging scandal” involving MomTok personalities. However, despite the controversy with Taylor, Miranda has stated that this wasn’t the cause of her divorce from Chase in 2024.

Oh my god, she finally talked about it on the Weekly Trash podcast last August! Basically, she said the breakup wasn’t about anything that happened right before – it was stuff that had been going on for ages. And get this – she specifically said whatever people thought happened right before didn’t even factor into the decision! Like, it wasn’t the reason at all! I’ve replayed that part like a million times, honestly. It’s so good to finally have some clarity, even if it’s heartbreaking.

Nonetheless, she and Chase have been committed to parenting their kids Brooks and Cohen.

Okay, so she totally gets it. She was saying that coparenting is, like, always a work in progress, which, duh, right? But the thing that really hit me was when she said if they’d been perfect all the time, they wouldn’t have even needed a divorce! It’s like, all the struggles… maybe they were always there, even before everything fell apart. It just makes so much sense! I’ve been replaying that part in my head all day.

We’ve always been good friends, even before we became a couple,” she explained. “I think that strong friendship is a big reason why we’re able to co-parent so well.
