Perhaps the devil actually wears Mikimoto.
Emily Blunt, known for her role in The Devil Wears Prada, wore a stunning necklace from the jewelry brand at the 2026 Met Gala, held on May 4th at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The Oscar nominee followed the Met Gala’s “Fashion Is Art” theme by wearing a black outfit from Ashi Studio. She completed her look with a stunning pearl necklace valued at $500,000 as she arrived at the event.
This stunning piece, rarely seen, is covered in thousands of Akoya pearls and boasts a dazzling collar. The collar features a beautiful 21.85-carat pear-shaped morganite, encircled by nearly 46 carats of diamonds.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled when creativity truly shines! I had such a great time collaborating with Jessica to brainstorm how we’d bring this year’s theme to life. And when we discovered this incredible piece from Mikimoto? It was a total ‘aha!’ moment. It felt less like jewelry and more like a stunning piece of wearable art – exactly what we envisioned when we thought about jewelry seamlessly blending with fashion.
Her stylist Jessica Pastor explained that the pair wanted to make jewelry the star of the show.
Usually at the Met Gala, outfits really showcase the theme, and jewelry is more of an accent. But this time, we flipped that idea. The necklace became the outfit, shaping the whole look and highlighting how jewelry can connect with and define the body.
As a longtime observer of the Met Gala, it’s always exciting to see who graces those iconic steps! This year, Florence Pugh was there, and it was her fifth time attending. She’s become a real Met Gala regular, having first walked the carpet back in 2016, and returning in 2019, 2021, and 2023. This year’s co-hosts – Anna Wintour, Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams – certainly brought a fantastic energy to the event, and Florence fit right in!
It wasn’t surprising to see her at the event, especially since she, along with Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Stanley Tucci, recently reprised their roles from The Devil Wears Prada in a sequel that came out on May 1st.

Before the movie comes out, Emily—who shares daughters Hazel, 12, and Violet, 9, with John Krasinski—explained how thankful she is for a part that completely transformed her life.
She explained to Elle magazine in November that she felt unknown at the time, but director David Frankel was determined to cast her in the film after hearing her audition. She said his confidence in her meant a great deal to her.

Emily, 43, described her surprisingly funny role as a turning point in her career. She explained that it allowed audiences to see her as more than just someone who played characters in British period dramas. It opened up opportunities for more diverse and interesting roles, which is what she’d always wanted. She wasn’t interested in playing young, innocent characters; she wanted to show her range as an actress.
And regardless of her varied career, she’s happy to have fans always return to her breakout role.
She explained that the movie has become a nostalgic touchstone for many, offering both comfort and a way to escape. She also praised its beauty and overall quality, calling it a truly incredible film.
