Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, and it features the games fans were hoping for: remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. You can watch the reveal trailer below to see gameplay from both beloved titles.
Originally a PlayStation 3 exclusive and the only Metal Gear Solid game never re-released, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots concludes Solid Snake’s story. It features new stealth abilities, like an optic-camo suit, as he battles Liquid Ocelot’s Outer Heaven. Peace Walker first appeared on the PlayStation Portable before coming to PS3, and it provides important backstory for characters like Paz, setting the stage for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain.
The second volume of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection arrives on August 27th, and those who pre-order will receive Metal Gear: Ghost Babel as a bonus. Also, a final update for the first Master Collection is available now, adding sharper, high-resolution visuals to both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Plus, with current discounts on the series, it’s a great time to start playing!
