A highly acclaimed sci-fi horror series returns this month with its fourth season, premiering on April 19th. While fans waited since 2025 for new episodes, the show is finally back.
The sci-fi series From, originally released on Epix in 2022, has become surprisingly popular. While it didn’t have a new season last year, the show continued to attract viewers and critical praise for its compelling story, strong acting, and unexpected plot twists. Now, as a new season approaches, From is gaining even more attention, rising in popularity not only on its streaming platform but also through on-demand rentals, according to FlixPatrol.
From Became a Streaming Sensation
Just weeks before its fourth season premiered on April 3rd, the show From saw a significant boost in popularity, climbing nine spots on Amazon TV Store in the U.S. to reach fifth place. It now ranks just behind Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. On its streaming platform, MGM+, From is currently the second most popular show.
The sci-fi series really took off after its third season received a perfect 100% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Throughout 2025, it consistently ranked high in viewership and received comparisons to hit shows like Lost, Dark, and Twin Peaks.
This gripping series centers on the people trapped in a terrifying, isolated town in the U.S. Being stuck isn’t even their main concern, though – every night, they must fight for survival against frightening creatures emerging from the nearby forest.
The show was a slow burn for its first three seasons, gradually building its story. But the final episodes of Season 3 hinted at a much larger mystery and suggested there’s a specific reason why the town and its inhabitants exist.
From Season 4 Introduces New Residents
Season 3 revealed connections between Tabitha, Victor, and Jade, and suggested the town’s residents were nearing some long-awaited answers. Tabitha, after escaping and then returning to the unsettling town, has been determined to uncover its secrets. Since arriving, Jade has developed various theories about the town, often leading to disagreements with the other residents.
It turns out the characters have a strong history with the town. As they uncover more clues, the town continues to draw in new residents, with Season 4 introducing several newcomers. Recently, From revealed a new priest character and confirmed that Ethan saw him in the woods, even though the priest was supposedly killed off at the end of Season 3.
The Man in Yellow is more significant than people realize, and the truth behind him is frightening – the more the residents investigate, the more dangerous things become.
From Season 4 premieres on Apr. 19 on MGM+.
