We finally have a release date for the stylish shooter MOUSE: P.I. for Hire.
This action game puts you in a first-person shooter role with a unique look – it’s designed like a classic, black-and-white cartoon from the 1930s. It will be available on PS5 on March 19, 2026.
We’ve been aware of this game for some time, and it was originally announced for consoles around a year ago with a 2025 release date. Now, it’s scheduled to launch in about five months.
You’re Jack Pepper, a mouse detective (voiced by Troy Baker!), and you start with a simple missing person’s case. But soon, you uncover a much larger conspiracy brewing in the city of Mouseburg.

This game appears to be a really enjoyable first-person shooter with fantastic art and music. The visuals are especially impressive, created with hand-drawn animation reminiscent of Cuphead, giving it a unique and striking style.
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has a lot of potential, with its appealing visuals and audio. Whether it truly shines will depend on how well its story and gameplay come together. We’ll need to play it to find out if it delivers on that promise.
You can now add the game to your wishlist on the PlayStation Store. Will you be getting it when it releases in March? Let us know in the comments!
