The song didn’t manage to stay at number one for a second week. Instead, another song has taken the lead, gaining almost three times as many views.
Season 3 of The Night Agent premiered on February 19th and received better reviews than its second season. However, it didn’t top the charts, as the documentary Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model: Season 1 performed even better. According to Tudum, despite increased viewership, The Night Agent also didn’t reach the No. 1 spot in its second week.
The second part of Netflix’s popular romance series, Bridgerton, was released on February 26th and quickly gained a lot of attention, racking up 248.8 million viewing hours. Since its premiere on January 29th, the latest season has remained in the Top 10 for five weeks.
While still behind Bridgerton in viewership (which had nearly three times as many views), The Night Agent Season 3 saw its audience grow. It started with 8.4 million viewers in its first week and ultimately reached 86.2 million, an increase from its debut.
Bridgerton and The Night Agent Will Return
Both shows are very popular on Netflix. Bridgerton has had two seasons appear on Netflix’s Top 10 list for English-language TV, with Season 1 earning 113.3 million views and Season 3 getting 106 million. The upcoming Season 4 is also predicted to be a hit, as the romance between Benedict and Sophie has already attracted over 100 million views.
Replacing The Night Agent Season 1 would mean taking the place of a very popular show. It currently ranks tenth with 98.2 million views and a total of 803.2 million hours watched. Since its release in 2023, it’s been consistently successful and has stayed in the top rankings for three years.
Both shows have been very popular, so Netflix has decided to continue them. The series created by Shonda Rhimes is likely to last for eight seasons, and Netflix has confirmed that Bridgerton will return for two more. Bridgerton is inspired by the books of Julia Quinn and each season tells the love story of a different Bridgerton sibling.
The popular series The Night Agent has been renewed for a fourth season, even before the third season has premiered. Created by Shawn Ryan, the show is adapted from the novel by Matthew Quirk.
