Pokémon Pokopia continues to be incredibly popular, establishing itself as a favorite cozy game. The game is currently holding its second big in-game event, Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest, which lasts until April 26th, and players can anticipate further updates and events. A recent update to Pokémon Pokopia included bug fixes and improvements, with one fix hinting at exciting new events on the horizon.
On April 22nd, an update (version 1.0.4) was released for Pokemon Pokopia. If your Switch 2 is connected to the internet, it should download automatically. This update fixes several bugs, including issues with quests at Bleak Beach and a problem where Professor Tangrowth would sometimes vanish. The biggest fix addresses problems players experienced during the recent More Spores for Hoppip event, suggesting similar events may be coming soon.
Latest Pokemon Pokopia Patch Is Most Likely Setting Up For a New Pokemon Debut

The latest update includes a highly requested feature: you can now move your Pokémon Centers even during events! Previously, events like the Hoppip event or the Jump Rope Contest would lock your Pokémon Center in place, which frustrated many players. Fans felt the Hoppip event, in particular, lasted too long and made their Pokémon Centers nearly unusable. This update fixes that problem.
The Jump Rope Contest is still going on for a few more days, and this update might be designed to allow players to move their Pokémon Center while Bulbasaur is visiting. However, since the update is arriving so late in the event, I suspect it’s actually fixing a different issue.
Although Niantic hasn’t announced any future events for Pokemon Pokopia beyond the current Jump Rope Contest, the recent fix to the Pokemon Center suggests something new is coming. Considering the Pokemon Center is central to in-game events, we might see another Pokemon appear there, similar to Hoppip. This could finally mean a new Pokemon will be introduced to the game.

This update includes several important fixes and improvements, even if it doesn’t lead to the discovery I’m hoping for. We’ve removed some bugs that were preventing players from finishing quests, so you should now be able to reach the game’s ending. You can find a complete list of changes in the latest Pokopia patch notes on Nintendo’s website.
You still have a few days to collect your Bulbasaur trophy. After that, the latest update likely prepares us for the next event, which will probably take place at the Pokemon Center. If the developers could just improve the storage system, the game would be amazing!
