New Resident Evil Remake Reportedly Being Revealed Very Soon

Capcom is expected to announce a remake of an older Resident Evil game very soon. For over a year, reliable sources have suggested that Resident Evil: Code Veronica is the next title in line for a remake. While Capcom hasn’t officially confirmed this, they’ve been busy releasing Resident Evil Requiem earlier this year. Now that Requiem is available, it seems Capcom is ready to reveal their next Resident Evil project soon.

According to reliable leaker Dusk Golem, a remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica is very likely to be announced next month at Summer Game Fest. This event, hosted by Geoff Keighley, starts on June 5th and will showcase upcoming games. While Dusk Golem isn’t completely sure, they believe Summer Game Fest is the most probable place for this announcement to happen.

As a huge Resident Evil fan, I’m really hoping we finally get a Code Veronica remake announcement at Summer Game Fest! Capcom revealed Resident Evil Requiem there last year, and they seem to have a great relationship with Geoff Keighley. Remember when they announced Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Monster Hunter Wilds at his events? It feels like Capcom really likes using Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards to share their big news, so Code Veronica feels like a natural fit!

According to previous reports, a remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica is expected to release around early 2027. Even if Capcom doesn’t announce it in June, a reveal is likely coming soon. We’ll share all the official details here on ComicBook as soon as they’re available.
