A game recently added to Xbox Game Pass has quickly become a strong seller. While it’s in the top 100 best-selling Xbox games this week, its performance on Steam is even more notable. It was the third best-selling game on Steam last week, surpassed only by the year’s biggest hits so far, Pragmata and Windrose.
Last week, Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors was the third best-selling game on Steam. This fast-paced, card-based roguelite is a spin-off of the popular 2022 indie game, Vampire Survivors, created by the same developers. While it doesn’t seem to be reaching the same level of popularity as the original, Vampire Crawlers is already a hit with players, many of whom describe it as incredibly addictive.
A New Fan Favorite
Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors is proving to be both popular and well-loved. With a 96% approval rating based on over 5,500 Steam user reviews, it’s earned the highest possible rating – “Overwhelmingly Positive.” On Xbox, the game also scores impressively with 4.5 out of 5 stars, a particularly strong result for a new game available through Xbox Game Pass, as these games often receive lower scores.
Okay, so this game takes everything I loved about the original and flips it on its head! Instead of just playing through, it’s all about building an awesome deck of cards. You use that deck to tackle the dungeons I remember so well, but seeing them in a totally new way, and to completely crush the enemies I know and… well, used to beat up with my sword, not cards! It’s really cool.
The game Vampire Crawlers, normally priced at $10 on Xbox and Steam, doesn’t offer significant savings for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. While it’s available through the subscription services, subscribers can also buy it directly with a 20% discount. It’s currently unknown how long Vampire Crawlers will remain available on Game Pass.
Players diving into Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors on Xbox Game Pass can expect to spend roughly 10 to 25 hours completing the game, though the exact time will vary based on how much optional content they explore.
