Elle Kennedy’s popular Off Campus book series is now a TV show on Prime Video.
These books follow the romantic lives of a close-knit group of college hockey players. They’re dedicated to both their sport and a lively social scene, but everything changes when they each meet someone who captures their hearts.
Kennedy’s books have a loyal fanbase, and many are excited about the possibility of a live-action adaptation of the entire series. The first season of Off Campus suggests this is a goal the creators are working towards.
The story begins with Hannah Wells, a dedicated student and musician played by Ella Bright, and Garrett Graham, a popular athlete portrayed by Belmont Cameli – mirroring the plot of the first book, ‘The Deal’.
It looks like season 2 of Off Campus will be based on the second book in the series, so reading it now will give you a good idea of what’s coming! Here’s a reading order to help you get started.
How many books are in the Off Campus series?
Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus series consists of five books, originally released between 2015 and 2021.
What order should I read Off Campus?
For the best experience, it’s recommended to read the Off Campus books in the order they were published. Here’s a quick guide to the reading order, with more details about each book available below.
- Off Campus book 1: The Deal
- Off Campus book 2: The Mistake
- Off Campus book 3: The Score
- Off Campus book 4: The Goal
- Off Campus book 5: The Legacy
Off Campus book 1: The Deal

Prime Video’s first season of Off Campus is based on the novel The Deal, and centers around the developing relationship between Hannah Wells, portrayed by Ella Bright, and Garrett Graham, played by Belmont Cameli.
Off Campus book 2: The Mistake

“The Mistake” is the second book in the Off Campus series, and it seems like events from this book will be important to the plot of the show’s second season.
The story will now center on John Logan, portrayed by Antonio Cipriano, and his developing rivalry with a new character, Grace Ivers, who will be played by India Fowler in the second season.
Logan is looking for a distraction, and he finds it in a flirty encounter with new student Grace Ivers. However, a careless error causes Grace to pull away, and Logan is determined to win her back during their senior year and show her he deserves another chance.
Off Campus book 3: The Score

“The Score” is the third book in the Off Campus series, and some of its story elements were used in the first season of the TV show.
This romantic subplot centers on Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn), and their connection unfolds alongside the main relationship between Hannah and Garrett during the first half of the series.
Off Campus book 4: The Goal

The Goal is the fourth installment in the Off Campus book series, following John Tucker (played by Jalen Thomas Brooks) as he begins a relationship with a new character, Sabrina James, who has not yet been cast.
The story follows a woman who offers John Tucker a single, passionate night, but discovers that even one night can be life-altering.
Off Campus book 5: The Legacy

The fifth and final book in the Off Campus series is titled The Legacy.
This one’s different from the previous books! Instead of one long story, it follows each couple as they navigate life after college. It’s told through four connected novellas, so you really get to see what happened to them as they grew up and built their lives. I loved getting that extended look at everyone!
The show features a wedding, a proposal, a secret runaway marriage, and an unexpected pregnancy. It’s a story full of twists and turns, with plenty of both drama and humor.
