Few things are as relaxing as watching a good sitcom. Shows like MAS*H, Friends, The Golden Girls, and Modern Family have been making people laugh and feel comfortable for years, and are perfect for binge-watching. Now, Tubi subscribers can enjoy one of the all-time great sitcoms – it became available on the free streaming service in December – but there’s a catch for fans.
You can now watch the first two seasons of the popular and award-winning sitcom Community on Tubi, but seasons three through six aren’t currently available. Created by Dan Harmon, Community follows a study group at Greendale Community College in a fictional Colorado town, and features Joel McHale as Jeff Winger alongside stars like Gillian Jacobs, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong, and Chevy Chase. The show ran for 110 episodes in total.
Community Is a Modern Sitcom Classic
Whether you’re discovering Community for the first time on Tubi or revisiting it as a longtime fan, you’re in for a treat. Despite ending in 2014 after six seasons, the show has become recognized as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. Beyond its talented cast and incredible guest stars like John Goodman, LeVar Burton, and Betty White, Community is simply a funny, original, and genuinely well-made comedy.
This show is hilarious, filled with jokes, pop culture nods, and clever observations about itself. But it’s not just funny – it also has a surprisingly sweet story about a group of unlikely friends who become a family, making you genuinely care about what happens to them. The writing is incredibly sharp, quick-witted, and doesn’t follow typical sitcom rules. Creator Dan Harmon wasn’t afraid to experiment with different styles, even doing entire episodes inspired by things like the Law & Order TV show or exploring multiple alternate realities, as seen in the episode “Remedial Chaos Theory.”
The show became incredibly popular with both critics and a dedicated fanbase. It consistently received high praise, averaging an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and its second season even earned a perfect 100% rating.
Where to Stream Every Season of Community?
Fans are both happy and frustrated that the beloved sitcom Community is now on Tubi. While it’s great the show is available, Tubi is only streaming two of its six seasons at a time. This has been a recurring issue with the platform, as Community briefly had all six seasons available last February, but has cycled through only two since then. This means viewers either have to wait for different seasons to appear or find another streaming service to watch the entire series.
Good news for fans of Community: while Tubi is currently the only place to watch the show for free, all six seasons are also available on Disney+ with a subscription. Tubi’s selection of seasons is likely to change soon – it’s expected that Seasons 3 and 4 will become available there, replacing Seasons 1 and 2, but this isn’t confirmed.
