New Final Fantasy Game Announced for 2026 (And It’s Not What Fans Expected)

Square Enix hasn’t announced a release date for the third Final Fantasy 7 Remake game yet. However, fans of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and the rest of the crew have something new to look forward to this year: a cooperative board game set during a key moment in the Midgar story. It ran for three seasons – a total of 24 episodes – and honestly, it feels like the closest thing I’ve found to recapture that same eerie vibe.
