Paige Bueckers is scoring some style points off the court.
The WNBA star was excited to go to the 2026 Met Gala and shared her enthusiasm for the custom Coach suit she’d be wearing. The three-piece outfit was covered in colorful graffiti-style splashes and detailed beadwork.
Paige explained in TopMob’s By Design series, during the Live From TopMob Stream: Met Gala, that everything about the creation—from the smallest beads to the colors—worked together wonderfully. She encouraged viewers to express themselves and enjoy the process of creating something beautiful.
The Dallas Wings guard also pointed out that her outfit for the first Monday in May’s Met Gala—which was co-hosted this year by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour—included a secret, meaningful detail.
The 24-year-old explained they’ll be adding embroidered number five to the sleeve. It’s a personal touch, representing their basketball jersey number.
She explained that basketball feels like an art form to her, a way for all her passions to come together. She was particularly pleased with how the recent project was put together.
Paige’s stylist, Jason Golden, shared that the outfit was created by starting with a traditional suit and building from there.
We started with a basic idea and then really focused on adding lots of detail,” he explained. “Specifically, we spent a lot of time carefully choosing colors and deciding how to best incorporate the beading.
He continued, pointing out the blues, reds, and greens, which really drew your attention and made the landscape so beautiful.
After all, Jason believes that Paige was the perfect subject to style for the event.
He explained that creating true art requires having a unique perspective. He felt Paige had a particularly strong, recognizable, and current point of view, making it clear her work would be impactful and successful.
