No need to wonder where for art thou Romeo Beckham.
David and Victoria Beckham’s son recently made his first appearance at the Met Gala on May 4th. He stayed true to his parents’ stylish reputation, wearing a Burberry outfit that fit the event’s “Costume Art” theme. (You can see photos of all the outfits worn at the Met Gala.)
The 23-year-old chose a sleek black outfit – a black jacket and pants – and added some flair with details like leather accents on the jacket, a leather shirt, a tie, and an embroidered scarf. They completed the look with a generous amount of diamond jewelry from De Beers London.
Romeo wasn’t the only celebrity – and child of celebrities – to arrive at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s gala. Nicole Kidman, matching outfits with her daughter Sunday Rose, and Venus Williams led the way in showcasing the “Fashion is Art” theme. Longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who has hosted the event every year since 1995, also made an early appearance.
Their fellow co-chair, Beyoncé, accompanied by Jay Z and Blue Ivy Carter, showed up just a bit later.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m loving Romeo Beckham’s style moment at the Met Gala – he clearly gets his fashion sense from his mom! It’s fun to see him shine, especially since his parents, Victoria and David, haven’t walked the Met Gala carpet together since 2014. It’s been a while!
Romeo Beckham’s recent appearance follows a challenging year for his family, which also includes his siblings Brooklyn, 27, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.

Earlier this year, Brooklyn Beckham publicly discussed the ongoing issues with his family, which began after his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz-Beckham. In a detailed Instagram post in January, he claimed his parents had tried to damage his relationship with his wife.
Brooklyn stated they didn’t want to make amends with their family, explaining that they were finally asserting their independence and taking control of their own life.
For months, Brooklyn’s family didn’t comment on the issue, but last month his mother, Victoria, finally spoke up, acknowledging the challenges of raising children in the public spotlight.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Victoria shared that she and her partner have always strived to be the best parents possible. Having been in the public spotlight for over three decades, their primary focus has always been protecting and loving their children, and she didn’t wish to elaborate further.
