Atlus has announced that they’ll be sharing updates about the Persona 4 Revival remake in the new year. Since the game was first announced earlier in 2024, there hasn’t been much news, leaving fans eager for more information. While a specific date isn’t available yet, Atlus promises to reveal some details soon.
Kazuhisa Wada, a lead producer on the Persona series, recently told 4Gamer (via Gematsu) that we’ll learn more about Persona 4 Revival in 2026. Atlus has big plans for the year, which marks the 30th anniversary of the Persona franchise, and will be sharing updates on Persona 4 Revival alongside other celebratory events and promotions.
Wada announced that they are planning many global events to celebrate Persona’s 30th anniversary. He also hinted that they’ll be sharing news about upcoming games, including a remake of Persona 4, in 2026, so fans should stay tuned!
When Will Persona 4 Revival Release?
Atlus hasn’t announced when Persona 4 Revival will be released. They emphasized when they first announced the project that it was still in early development. This probably explains why the first trailer didn’t show much gameplay—it mainly focused on showcasing the updated visuals of Persona 4 and featured the main character exploring the town of Inaba.
Sega, the publisher of Persona 4 Revival, has announced plans to release the remake sometime in the next fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. While this is the current expected timeframe, release dates often change, so it’s possible the game could be delayed or moved to a different period.
No matter when Persona 4 Revival is released, it’s confirmed to be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While a Nintendo Switch 2 version hasn’t been announced yet, since Persona 3 Reload was released on the Switch, there’s a strong possibility P4 Revival will come to the Switch 2 too.
