Before the free games for PlayStation Plus in September become available, subscribers of PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium have approximately 24 hours left to get about $155 worth of games at no cost. The standout event for PlayStation Plus subscribers last month was undoubtedly the two day-one games released, but these were exclusive to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium members. If you only have a PS Plus Essential subscription, you only received three games last month. Tomorrow, on September 2, the chance to download these three games will come to an end.
For PlayStation Plus members, regardless of their tier, these three games – Lies of P, DayZ, and My Hero One’s Justice 2 – can be downloaded for free until September 2nd. While Lies of P usually retails at $60 on the PlayStation Store, DayZ sells for $55, and My Hero One’s Justice 2 goes for $40. In total, this equates to a savings of approximately $155 in free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Once downloaded, these games are yours to keep permanently as long as you maintain an active PS Plus subscription.
Lies of P
Among the PS Plus games, Lies of P shines brightest, being the sole PS5 game in the bunch. This action-RPG, created and distributed by Neowiz, openly showcases its resemblance to the iconic game, Bloodborne. With a Metacritic score ranging from 80 to 85, it was recognized for Best RPG and Best Art Direction nominations at The Game Awards upon release. Excitingly, a sequel is currently under development.
DayZ
DayZ, which first appeared in 2013 through Steam Early Access and was fully released in 2018, is a survival game created by Bohemia Interactive. Despite having mixed reviews from users and critics online, it’s reported that the game has sold approximately six to seven million copies so far.

Among the three games, it’s likely that “My Hero One’s Justice 2,” a 2020 fighting game sequel to the 2018 version of the same name, is considered the least impactful. Developed by Byking and published by Bandai Namco, the game received mediocre reviews upon release and is believed to have not sold particularly well. This could be the reason why a follow-up was not produced.
Of course, here’s a different way to put it: After going over everything, remember, your feedback is welcome! So, are you planning on grabbing some of the free PS Plus games that will vanish by tomorrow?
