The current season of Pokémon Go, called Memories in Motion, has been relatively calm. As the game approaches its 10th anniversary, many events are focused on letting players catch up on content. However, there are still new things happening! On April 14th, Pokémon Go will host its 2026 Sustainability Week event, bringing several debuts. This includes two Pokémon from the Galar region appearing in the game for the first time, a new Pokémon with a special costume, and a new Shiny Pokémon. To get these new Pokémon, players will need to use some of the game’s less-liked features, like Routes and Pokémon that only appear in specific environments.
Sustainability Week is a regular event in Pokemon Go that happens around Earth Day. It usually focuses on getting players to connect with the outdoors. This year’s event runs from 10 AM to 8 PM local time between April 14th and April 20th. Niantic, the game developer, is encouraging players to actually go out and explore by using the game’s Routes feature and finding Pokemon that only appear in certain environments (biomes). While these features aren’t the most popular, it might be worth using them to catch the new and rare Pokemon available during the event. Here’s a guide to finding the new Shiny Pokemon, Pokemon wearing special costumes, and completely new Pokemon appearing for the first time.
How to Get Silicobra and Sandaconda in Pokemon Go

For Sustainability Week 2026, Pokémon GO is introducing Galarian Silicobra and its evolved form, Sandaconda! You can evolve Silicobra into Sandaconda by collecting 50 Silicobra Candy – no special steps needed. However, finding a Silicobra will be a bit of a challenge, as they’ll only appear in specific environments.
Silicobra is appearing in Pokémon Go for the first time during a special event, but it won’t be everywhere! You’ll only find it in desert-like areas on the map. These areas can be a bit tricky to locate – think sandy, dry places. Some players have had luck finding Silicobra at places like baseball fields and golf courses, as the game sometimes identifies these as desert-like environments.
How to Get Galarian Corsola in Pink Sunglasses in Pokemon Go (And How to Boost Shiny Odds)

In addition to new Pokémon appearing during this event, a special costumed version is also coming! Galarian Corsola wearing Pink Sunglasses will be available starting April 14th, and you can even find its shiny form right away. This Pokémon will appear on Routes throughout the event. To catch this costumed Corsola, you’ll need to complete Routes in Pokémon Go. While the costumed Galarian Corsola will be available throughout the event, other featured Pokémon will appear on Routes at different times, depending on the date.
- April 14th – April 16th: Galarian Corsola with Sunglasses; Togetic
- April 16th – April 18th: Galarian Corsola with Sunglasses; Trubbish
- April 18th to April 20th: Galarian Corsola with Sunglasses; Lapras
During Sustainability Week, you’ll have a better chance of finding Shiny Pokémon when encountering them on the routes mentioned earlier. Plus, Galarian Corsola wearing costumes will be available by hatching 7 KM Eggs, and they’ll also have increased Shiny odds.
How to Get Shiny Toedscool in Pokemon Go

Finally, Shiny Toedscool is now available! This Pokémon from the Paldea region has been part of the game for a while, and players have been waiting for its Shiny version to be released.
Like Silicobra, Toedscool only appears in certain areas. If you’re hoping to find a Shiny Toedscool during the Sustainability Week event in Pokemon Go, you’ll need to search for forested and grassy areas. While Toedscool will appear more often, the chances of finding a Shiny one haven’t increased. The best way to improve your odds is to simply catch as many Toedscool as possible while they’re more common in your local forests and grassy areas in Pokemon Go.
From April 14th to April 20th, Pokemon Go is hosting Sustainability Week, introducing new Pokemon to discover! An optional Sustainability Week GO Pass is available to unlock special bonuses during the event. You can find complete details about Sustainability Week on the official Pokemon Go website.
