Pokémon and McDonald’s have a history of partnering together, and it seems they plan to continue doing so through 2026.
This year marks Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, and fans can expect plenty of exciting events and partnerships to celebrate!
So, as rumours fly around of a Pokémon x McDonalds 2026 crossover, here’s what we know so far.
Pokémon McDonalds 2026: Will there be a collab for the 30th anniversary?
As of today, Pokémon and McDonald’s haven’t officially announced any plans to team up in 2026, but it’s still possible they might collaborate in the future.
PokéBeach, a popular Pokémon trading card game website, reports that McDonald’s Happy Meals will include a Pokémon promotion in March to mark the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
The current Happy Meal promotion featuring ‘Changeables’ toys will continue until March 8th, and after that, we’ll start offering a special Pokémon Trading Card Game promotion.

McDonald’s trading card game promotions usually include a booster pack with four cards: one holographic and three standard cards.
Each set usually includes 15 cards, six of which are holographic. Importantly, all the cards within a set are reprints of older designs.
The promotion for Pokémon’s 25th anniversary in 2021 included a set of 50 cards. These featured all 24 starter Pokémon from the games, as well as Pikachu. Each Pokémon had both a shiny, holographic version and a standard, non-holographic version.
It looks like this offer will only be available in the United States. Customers in the UK, Europe, and other regions will either have to hope for a similar promotion in their area, or may not receive one at all.
It appears a Pokémon and McDonald’s partnership is planned for 2026, but we should wait for an official announcement before getting too excited.
I’m really hoping we’ll get some news about it during the Pokémon Presents stream on Pokémon Day! That seems like the perfect time to share more.
