If you enjoy relaxing, repetitive games like PowerWash Simulator or House Flipper, tinyBuild has a new game coming to PS5 that looks really good and is worth checking out.
The Lift is a game where you play as a repairman called in to fix a huge building filled with strange, supernatural events.
Fantastic Signals has spent the last four years creating this game, which blends the gameplay of simulation games with the rich story and detailed environments found in immersive sims like PREY.
This information comes from a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, which shares more details about the game and its fascinating world.
You’ll be tasked with restoring the Institute after a strange supernatural event has left it in ruins. The gameplay trailer shows you’ll be doing everything from cleaning up strange substances and repairing electronics to realigning satellites and handling many other challenges.
You’ll move between the different parts of the Institute using the main elevator, and it will also be your central hub throughout the game.
The game feels similar to Metroidvania titles. As you explore the entire facility and fix its issues, you’ll encounter interesting characters and gain new tools. These tools will then let you access new areas and repair even more of the complex.
The game feels really good to interact with, similar to PowerWash Simulator, but it also has a compelling story that makes you want to find out what caused the Institute to fall into ruin.
That sounds great! However, it won’t be available until 2027, but we’re hoping it will be worth the wait.
