Approximately half of the Mafia: The Old Country games were bought for PlayStation 5, as suggested by sales data provided by Sensor Tower.
According to the data analysis, it’s estimated that the one-player game has been purchased approximately 800,000 times since its release. Out of these sales, around 48.67% were made on Sony’s gaming console, while about 37.86% are projected to have been sold through Steam. A relatively smaller percentage, around 13.47%, were sold on Xbox.
The Old Country features a compact open world, it primarily offers a narrative-focused, linear gameplay experience.
Since a lot of players are completing the game, developer Hangar 13 has shared that they plan to provide additional free content as part of the upcoming release.
Through their Twitter account, they announced that “Free Ride” is forthcoming, featuring fresh experiences and innovative gameplay.
In the updated version of Mafia: Definitive Edition, the Free Ride feature introduces a plethora of new activities such as Phone Booth Missions, races, and taxi driving, among others. Anticipating similar expansions in the upcoming title could enhance its lasting appeal, surpassing just collectible hunts.
