The PlayStation 5 Pro has gained support for a previously award-winning game. Since its launch nearly a year ago, developers have consistently optimized games for the PS5 Pro. Titles like *Fortnite*, *Alan Wake 2*, *God of War Ragnarok*, *Horizon Forbidden West*, *Silent Hill 2*, *Madden*, *EA Sports FC*, and *Stellar Blade* have already been updated to take advantage of the new console, and more updates are planned. Recently, one developer unexpectedly added support for one of its most popular, critically acclaimed games.
A new update is now available for *Control: Ultimate Edition* on PS5. Originally released on PC earlier this year, this patch adds support for PSSR technology, which is a key feature of the upcoming PS5 Pro and enhances the game’s graphics. Players with a PS5 Pro will also see improvements to reflections in Performance mode, as well as better textures and shadows.
PS5 Pro Owners Aren’t the Only Ones Getting Upgrades

The latest update for *Control: Ultimate Edition* brings significant improvements, especially for players on the standard PS5. A key upgrade is the unlocked frame rate, allowing *Control* to run smoother and perform better than before. This change includes fixes for High Dynamic Range and temporal anti-aliasing. Simply put, *Control* will now look and play better on all PS5 consoles.
Okay, this is awesome! They’ve just unlocked a bunch of stuff for everyone in *Control* that used to be exclusive. We can now get three outfits that were originally only for pre-order customers. Plus, there’s a new mission featuring Dr. Yoshimi Tokui, and it was previously only available on PlayStation. What’s really cool is that Hideo Kojima actually does the voice work for Dr. Tokui, so that’s a neat little bonus!
