PS5’s 007 First Light Will See You Embody the Charismatic James Bond for 20+ Hours

If you’re hoping to quickly finish the new 007 game, First Light, be prepared for a lengthy experience – a first playthrough will likely take around 20 hours. However, there’s a lot to enjoy even after you beat the main story, offering plenty of reasons to play again.

We learned from JorRaptor – who confirmed this with the game’s director – that the average playthrough will take a certain amount of time. We also had the chance to try the game ourselves at a recent event in London.

How long the game takes to finish will really depend on how you play. If you prefer a careful, stealthy approach, the story will likely take longer to complete than if you rush in and focus on action.

Furthermore, this doesn’t include the new TacSim mode, which lets you replay missions and discover new ways to complete them, similar to the Hitman series.

IO Interactive plans to continue supporting this game for a long time with ongoing updates and new content, likely changing how the game is played over time.

The game has excelled at introducing fresh objectives and missions to the World of Assassination, often including appearances by well-known celebrities and figures – like Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre from the movie Casino Royale.

Honestly, around 20 hours seems like a good length for completing the game for the first time. That would make it comparable to other lengthy, story-driven third-person games, such as Uncharted 4. However, this game encourages players to try different things and explore more than Uncharted 4, which is a more directed experience.

We’ve already identified several locations for the final campaign, including Slovakia, Iceland, Malta, and England. As the release date approaches in just a few weeks, we’re excited to discover where else this worldwide campaign will lead us.
