A Twitter user named asdf recently shared a logo for something called “Project Steambot,” which includes the phrase “Rayman Legends Retold.” This immediately led many to believe it might be the long-awaited remake of the popular 2013 platformer, Rayman Legends.
They have more images, character designs, and early artwork, but are holding off on sharing it because an official announcement is coming soon. According to Insider Gaming, the logo seen online is legitimate, and we should hear more about the project within the next week.
There’s a rumor the game will be released on October 1st. Now, everyone’s wondering when we’ll actually get to see it revealed. Summer Game Fest on June 5th seems like a good possibility, especially since the game is expected to launch on multiple platforms. But, some people remember that the last Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition announcement happened during a PlayStation State of Play event.
Ubisoft has another presentation scheduled for June 2nd at 2 PM Pacific Time, hinting at a possible follow-up to their recent announcements. While some question whether a remake of Rayman Legends is truly necessary, there’s speculation that new content might be revealed to entice existing fans to purchase it again.
