Ryan Reynolds Honors Blake Lively Days After Justin Baldoni Settlement

Ryan Reynolds had an extra special Mother’s Day tribute to Blake Lively

Following Ryan Reynolds’ heartfelt message about Blake Lively—with whom he shares four children, James (11), Inez (9), Betty (6), and Olin (3)—Blake responded in a lovely way.

On May 10th, she responded to Ryan’s sweet message on Instagram Stories with a heart emoji and wrote, “I’m pretty fond of you too.”

As for what Ryan said of his wife of 13 years in the Mother’s Day message?

Okay, seriously, can we just talk about her?! He posted the sweetest thing on Instagram Stories – two gorgeous pictures of them out in nature, and the caption… it melted me! He said he appreciates this woman so much, and called her kind and fearless. But then he said she’s the absolute love of his life, which, obviously, we all knew! And the best part? He said she’s the life of their four kids’ love! Ugh, they’re just the cutest family ever, and I’m completely obsessed with how much he adores her. It’s everything!

Just a week before, Blake made a public appearance at the 2026 Met Gala shortly after it was announced she had reached a settlement in her lengthy legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, who directed and acted alongside her in the film It Ends With Us.

The mother of four explained at the event that she’s using a particular style of clothing to stay connected with her children.

I have a Judith Leiber bag,” the 38-year-old told Vogue. “We wanted to feature a well-known, iconic work of art on it, making it appear as if it were displayed in a frame.

I then asked if they could also frame my children’s artwork. Each of my four kids had painted a watercolor, and I thought it would be a nice touch to have those framed too. I brought the paintings with me when I went.

Even though she couldn’t attend with her children, the actress from The Shallows explained that they inspired her and gave her the confidence to walk the red carpet at the Met Gala.

She admitted she was also shy and felt more comfortable with her children nearby. She jokingly added that she could have even hidden them under her dress.

Besides cherishing her children, Blake has relied on Ryan for support during her legal issues, and he’s been with her through it all.

Ryan shared on NBC’s Today show on April 19th that he’s never been prouder of his wife. He hinted that many people are unaware of the full story behind what she’s been going through.

I’ve never been prouder of someone who consistently acts with such strong moral principles in all aspects of their life.
