Liquid Swords has openly shared details about its first game, Samson: A Tyndalston Story, showing off its intense combat and unique vehicles in regular development updates. However, it wasn’t clear if the game would be released on consoles. That changed when Christofer Sundberg, founder and Chief Creative Officer of the studio, made a new announcement on Twitter.
We’ve been getting a lot of questions about bringing Samson to consoles. The truth is, we don’t have a timeframe for that yet. The game does run on consoles, but we’re currently stretched too thin to finish development and go through the process of getting it approved for those platforms.
After the game releases on April 8th, the team will immediately start working on versions for game consoles. Sundberg confidently stated they’re facing almost no obstacles. He didn’t mention specific consoles, so it’s currently unclear if it will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Players can purchase Samson: A Tyndalston Story for $24.99 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. In this game, you play as Samson and return to the tough city of Tyndalston to settle a large debt. You’ll need to complete jobs each day to meet a growing quota, all against the clock.
The game tells a straightforward story that takes around 10 hours to finish, but you’re also free to roam the city and choose from eight different types of jobs. These jobs range from fighting in over 30 arenas to acting as a getaway driver, even using a powerful vehicle called the Magnum Opus to eliminate anyone who gets in your way. You can find more information here.
We get a lot of questions about console versions of @SamsonMcCray. The honest (and we’re always honest) answer is that we don’t know when. The game is running on consoles, but we don’t have the bandwidth right now to start the final development. We have to go through the platform…
