Just after releasing an update yesterday, Liquid Swords has revealed plans for future improvements to Samson. They’re releasing two new patches on April 15th and 22nd. The first patch already helped improve the game’s Steam rating from “Mixed,” so these follow-up updates are aimed at making the experience even better.
We’re still waiting for more specifics, but the team says the second patch will improve the game’s stability and gameplay, add some finishing touches, and address feedback from players. We’ll have details about the third patch closer to its release date.
If you’re new to this series, the story so far has been a bit uneven but generally enjoyable as it explores the city of Tyndalston. The setting and its challenges have kept things interesting, though it feels like the game could have benefited from more development time, considering the circumstances. We’re optimistic that the next installment, Liquid Swords, will address these issues and really shine when all its elements work together.
So, right now, you can only play Samson on PC – I grabbed it on Steam. The devs have hinted they’re thinking about bringing it to consoles though, which would be awesome! I’ll keep an eye out for news on that and let you know if I hear anything concrete in the next few weeks or months.
