Sarah Michelle Gellar turned heads at the Paris premiere of her latest film, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, on Wednesday evening.
She wore a dark and dramatic black dress by Temraza. The strapless dress featured sheer panels at the waist and a daringly high slit.
The dress blended vintage and contemporary styles with its Victorian-inspired lace and modern, angular silhouette. Gellar completed the outfit with satin high heels by Jimmy Choo and diamond earrings from Effy Jewelry. Celebrity stylist Tara Swennen, also known for her work with Kristen Stewart, put together Gellar’s look for the event.

Gellar has been favoring darker outfits recently. She previously wore a black Dolce & Gabbana ensemble, featuring a sheer top with a visible bra, at a film screening in New York City on March 18th. This style, where bras are subtly shown, has become popular among celebrities – Demi Lovato, for example, sported a similar top at a party in October 2025.

Gellar’s latest movie is a follow-up to the popular horror film centered around a dangerous game. The story picks up with Grace, who must once again fight for survival over a single night. This time, her sister Faith is also in peril, as the two of them are hunted by a new set of killers. Starring Kathryn Newton and Samara Weaving, the film is currently playing in cinemas.
Gellar and her stylist appear to be deliberately choosing dark, gothic looks to complement the spooky atmosphere of her new movie. While most actors aim for cheerful red carpet appearances, she’s embracing the horror theme, which is a clever way to generate buzz for the film and still look stylish.
