With its PlayStation 5 release just a week away (or five days if you purchase the Deluxe Edition), Sony has released the launch trailer for Saros. The trailer is packed with story moments and action sequences – many of which are brand new – so be careful if you want to avoid spoilers! You can watch it above.
Okay, so the new trailer showed some environments that definitely don’t feel like they belong on the planet Carcosa, which is super interesting. It makes me think Housemarque is building a really cool story, kind of like what they did with Returnal. To help with the story and world-building on this alien planet, Saros, they even brought in a graphic novelist named Ram V – he really helped shape the characters and the whole setting. It’s a great move, and I’m excited to see how it all plays out!
Gregory Louden, the creative director, shared that Ram’s unique take on cosmic horror, combined with his focus on realism and personal viewpoint, was instrumental in developing Arjun and Nitya into fully realized, believable characters.
